My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blackie and Garfield are an adorable pair of male kitties who were surrendered by their owner on December 26, 2024 because their family was moving and they couldn't have pets at the new residence.

Blackie (pictured on the left) has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with large golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. Blackie weighs 10.3 lbs.

Garfield (pictured on the right) has an orange tabby medium-haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful chubby face with dark golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Garfield weighs 13.4 lbs.

Both Blackie and Garfield are good with children and also with other cats, but they do not include dogs in their circle of friends. Blackie and Garfield have been kept indoors and are litterbox trained.

Blackie has a friendly, rather demure, personality and is the more quiet/docile of the pair. Garfield is the more outgoing of this dynamic duo. Blackie and Garfield are soulmates and have never been separated (and had been in their home since they were kittens). They have remained together in our shelter and are sharing a double-wide cage. These boys cannot understand what happened to turn their world (as they knew it) upside down when they were accustomed to having the freedom of their home and a family to love them .. And we're sure that their family feels the same way about being separated from them.

Both of the boys were given vaccinations on December 30, 2024. They were given wormer and flea treatment on December 31st .. And were given booster vaccines on January 14, 2025.

Blackie and Garfield are being listed as a Bonded Pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. They have both been neutered, so they could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application.

Update: Blackie and Garfield are currently being showcased at We Lov Pets (Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio) where they are available for adoption through HSOV. Please stop by their location to meet this fabulous pair of best friends.
