Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Randy is a handsome 8-year old male SealPoint Siamese kitty who was surrendered to the HSOV on January 17, 2025 along with his three housemates (Milo, Moose, and Spook) because their mistress had passed away recently, and her beloved cats became homeless.
Randy has a chocolate brown-and-cream short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful Siamese face with dark blue eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
A family member who was familiar with Randy and his housemates told us that Randy is friendly with other cats and also with dog, but he is very scared/shy around most people. Randy shows his anxiety by hiding. He has a past history of being on calming medication.
These photos of Randy were taken late in the afternoon on January 17th shortly after his arrival and, true to his nature, Randy had chosen shelter beneath his blankets. We were able to snap a few pictures before he retreated to his 'under cover' safe place. Randy was given a large covered soft-padded bed the next day which he enjoys as his new 'safe haven'.
Randy was given vaccinations, Pyrantel wormer, and Advantage Multi treatment on January 20, 2025. He weighed 8.8 lbs that day.
Randy and his friends had been in the home with their mistress all of their lives, so we can only imagine how this has turned their world upside down and wondering why they are now in shelter cages.
Randy has already been neutered, so he could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application. This older gentleman would love to find another home with someone to love him again and to have the patience/understanding to let him acclimate to his new surroundings on his own schedule.
