My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Moomoo and Meemee, an inseparable bonded pair who recently came to our rescue after their beloved owner passed away. Moomoo is an 8-year-old male, and Meemee is an 11-year-old female. While we can’t be certain if Meemee is Moomoo’s mother or simply his best friend, one thing is clear—they share an unbreakable bond, and we are committed to finding them a loving home together.

Meemee is the leader of this duo, a sweet but confident girl who loves to explore and always seems to be planning her next move. Wherever she goes—whether it’s to sniff around or bark at something new—Moomoo is right by her side, happily following her lead. Moomoo, on the other hand, is the ultimate cuddle bug. He thrives on attention and loves being close to his people, while Meemee keeps an eye on the world around them.

Despite their senior status, both Moomoo and Meemee have good energy and enjoy light play sessions, as well as plenty of leisurely walks. They are well-mannered with other dogs and warm up to people after a little time to get to know them.

The ideal home for this pair would be with someone who has experience with senior dogs and can provide the care and love they need in their golden years. Moomoo and Meemee have so much love to give and are ready to bring joy and companionship to the lucky person or family who welcomes them home.

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
