Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Oh, Roberta…where to start with this larger-than-life lady? At 25 pounds and just 3 years old, this girl has already lived quite a story. Abandoned by her previous owner at a shelter in Arizona, Roberta was scooped up by one of our supporters, who embarked on a grand road trip to bring her to safety. And now? She’s here, ready to start the next chapter of her life—with you!
Roberta is equal parts sweet and silly, with energy for days and a voice that could rival an opera singers! Let’s just say Roberta is not one for subtlety—when she’s away from her people or the action, she doesn’t hold back her feelings. She’s a big fan of “singing” (okay, it’s a bit of howling) to let you know she misses you. Because of this, she’s looking for a home where her humans aren’t gone too long—she’s happiest with company nearby.
When it comes to other dogs, Roberta is…well, let’s call her a social firecracker. She generally does well, but she’s got a bit of an alpha streak and isn’t shy about stirring up some canine drama now and then. She just hasn’t had the chance to burn off all her energy or learn proper manners yet. Think of her as a lovable whirlwind in need of a little guidance! She would do well in a home as the only dog, or with a dog that can match her energy.
With some patience, training, and TLC, Roberta transforms into a total sweetheart. Once she’s had the time to decompress, she’ll show you her softer, more affectionate side. She’s super friendly with people and loves to run and play, so an active owner who’s ready to channel her energy into fun activities and training will be ideal.
Roberta’s ready to thrive—she just needs someone to help her shine. Could that someone be you? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
