My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy from Texas! I’m a pretty German Shepherd mix named Tori. I am about 2 years old, weigh 44 lbs and I’m a friendly sweetheart. I was trying to cross a busy intersection in San Antonio Texas when a lady pulled up and called me over. I let her pet me and when she opened her door I jumped in. Because I was wearing a chain around my neck and dragging a piece of cable, she thought she would be able to find my family, but I had no ID or microchip, and nobody ever claimed me. That's when 4 Little Paws Rescue offered some help to find me a wonderful home and a new beginning.

I am a very sweet girl and make friends easily with humans cats and dogs. I’m a bit shy when I first meet people but that doesn't stop me from being kind and gentle. I enjoy going for walks and runs or any activity with my people. I love being active outdoors but when indoors I’m calm and peaceful and enjoy watching TV snuggled up with my people or other dogs or the family cat, while I’m sharing kisses with everyone. I’m well-behaved, playful, affectionate, housebroken, crate crate-trained, I rarely bark, and when my foster parents are away I get to roam freely indoors without a worry. I’m just a really good girl, gentle, sweet, friendly, and smart with a great personality perfectly balanced between active and calm, just following my humans lead for activity level. My foster mom says I will make an exceptional family dog, so East Coast people, inquire about me today!

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
