[Scene opens with energetic, upbeat music. The camera pans to a lively little kitten with bright eyes and a bold spirit. It’s Brooks, the fearless one.]
Narrator (excited and warm):
In a world full of adventure, there’s one kitten who isn’t afraid to lead the way… meet Brooks.
[Cut to Brooks darting across the room, her little paws racing as she chases her sisters. The energy is contagious as she pounces and tumbles in a whirlwind of fun.]
Narrator:
Brave, bold, and always up for a game, Brooks is the life of the party in her litter. No corner is too big, no staircase too steep – if there’s fun to be had, Brooks is there.
[Scene shows Brooks running to her foster mom, climbing onto her lap with a look of pure joy, seeking snuggles and affection.]
Narrator (playfully):
But don’t let her adventurous side fool you – she’s also the cuddliest of them all, always seeking out snuggles after a long day of play. Whether it's a cozy nap or a quiet moment, Brooks will be right by your side.
[Cut to Brooks curled up in her foster mom’s arms, purring contentedly as she nestles close.]
Narrator (softly):
She’s the perfect balance of playful and loving, ready to give you all the affection you can handle. And in return, she’ll fill your life with laughter, joy, and endless love.
[Scene shows Brooks playfully batting at a toy, then looking up with bright eyes, as if asking for one more round of snuggles.]
Narrator:
Are you ready for an adventure? Brooks is ready to be your best friend, your partner in fun, and your cuddle buddy for life.
[The screen fades to the words: “Adopt Brooks. The adventure of a lifetime is waiting.”]
Narrator (with a smile):
Brooks… brave, cuddly, and full of heart. Will you be the one to share your home with her?
[The music swells, leaving a feeling of joy and warmth as the screen fades to black.]
Brook's estimated birthdate is 10/8/24. She must be adopted with one of her sisters, her mom, or another kitten or be adopted into a home that already has a kitten under 2 years old. Brooks has shown interest in the dog at her foster home and will cautiously approach the dog. She is current on age appropriate vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped. She will need to be spayed when she is old enough.

At the adoption fairs, if you meet a kitten or cat that you want to adopt, you will be asked to complete an application and contract and leave a check for the adoption fee ($120 for an adult or $145 for un-neutered kitten of which $50 is a deposit that is refunded after you provide 4Paws proof of sterilization). We ask that you pay the adoption fee up front at the fairs in order to “put a hold” on the cat until your application is processed. If your application is not approved, your check is returned to you.
Neither cats nor kittens are sent to their new homes on the day of the fair. It usually takes 4-5 days to process the application before the cat can go to his or her adoptive home. Pre-approval is an option, though. To accelerate the adoption process, you can fax a completed application and contract to us at 703-560-9795 a few days before the fair. Adoption Applications are available on this website.

Adoption fairs are held once or twice a month at various PETCO stores in Northern Virginia. The adoption fairs are usually held on Saturday’s from 1:00 to 5:00. Between 30 and 60 cats and kittens are shown for adoption at each fair—with the larger fairs generally occurring April through October.
While they are waiting to find permanent loving homes, our cats temporarily live in foster homes. The foster families bring the cats and kittens to the adoption fairs to be seen by potential adopters. Applicants have the opportunity to handle the cats and in some cases, meet the foster parents who can provide additional insight into a cat’s habits and personality.
