My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Put Short Bio here: Honey Lavender is a gentle soul who loves to cuddle.  Her preferred location is beside you on the coach getting her head scratched or belly rubbed.  With her wiggly rear and curly tail that sometimes helicopters in eagerness, she is absolutely adorable.

Honey Lavender enjoys exploring our backyard and will chase after a tennis ball and is figuring out fetch.   She is new to foster life and still timid at times, but becoming more socialable every day.  She is going to become a wonderful sweetheart of a pup for a lucky person who will continue with her training.

Fill out all below:
Personality & Characteristics: Quiet, affectionate
My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats): dogs, cat and kids - Honey Lavender is good with cats, mostly ignoring them. We haven't tested her yet with dogs or kids, but suspect she would be fine.
My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed):  Honey Lavender loves her crate. House-training is a work in progress, and she is getting the gist of it.
3 Keywords for your pup:
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 3
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet. She makes little doggy noises to get attention, but rarely barks.
Walking Manners: Working on them.
Appetite: Honey Lavender has a healthy appetite. She is food motivated, which helps with training.
Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above): Honey Lavender is sometimes nervous outside -- we suspect she is still decompressing from her shelter experience and learning that she is safe.  She does not suffer from separation anxiety and can be left on her own.
Favorite Things: Chicken treats!
Commands/Tricks: To come

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
