My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING APPS FOR BEAR! ***

Hello! I’m Bear, a 9-month-old Maltipoo male pup who weighs just 5.4 lbs. People say I look like a little teddy bear, and I must say, I humbly agree! I don’t need a big backyard for playtime, since I’m small, but I do love getting attention and playing around with my humans. And snuggling?! Yes please!!

Unfortunately, I was surrendered after a month and a half because my previous adopters had too much on their plate. I’ve lived with one cat, and I’m not a fan of brooms—don’t ask me why, I just get a little scared of them.

I’m pretty laid-back, though, and I don’t get angry easily. I have 2 doggy foster siblings & get along with them. My foster mom says that I am a serious sweetie. I think that's a good thing. I’m a smart, affectionate little guy who’s also obedient and loves a good grooming session.

I'm a little guy, so I'm sure you have room for me in your home--and your heart.

Additional adoption info

The process to adopt/foster dogs and cats is different. Please speak to the volunteer assisting you in the adoption process to confirm details about the process.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every weekend in the DC/Baltimore Metro Area and also schedule private meet and greets once a potential adopter/foster has applied for a specific dog or cat.
