Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT HUFF
This handsome guy is a 3-year-old lab mix. Huff came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana when they no longer had space for him. He is a shy, but oh so sweet boy. Understandably, being in a new place can be scary at times, but with reassurance and love, Huff will follow you anywhere! He is very friendly with people and eager to please. Huff is a true snuggle bug and loves all affection. When he's not glued to your lap, he enjoys going or long walks or curling up on his bed for a nap. Huff has participated in our Doggy Day Out program, to help give him some extra love and attention. Here's what one volunteer had to say about him:
"Such a good, lovable boy! He put his front paws up on my car, so I helped him the rest of the way. He was quiet the whole car ride to the park and poked his nose up between the seat for pets. He pancaked in the snow but after belly rubs, he was up and sniffing everything! He loved the snow and different smells, he also didn’t pay any mind to the deer and squirrels. Sometimes he would stop and jump up putting his paws on my shoulders to give kisses. Such a lovable boy. He walks well on a leash, loves treats, and is only interested in you! He is definitely a loyal dog who wants to give love. We went to another park and did a short walk by the river. He fell asleep on the ride back to the shelter. We were back a few minutes early so I sat with him in the backseat petting him. Huff is such a lovable dog who would be a very loyal companion. And a calm, easy going mellow doggo. I hope he gets adopted very soon" - Autumn
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
