My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From the hills of Modesto to the stylish vibes of San Francisco, Asher is living proof that you can take the cat out of Modesto, but you can’t take the cool out of the cat. This sophisticated feline has embraced city life like a pro, effortlessly combining small-town charm with big-city confidence.

With a sleek tuxedo coat and a personality as warm as a Bay Area sunset, Asher is the ultimate blend of laid-back and lovable. Whether they’re curiously exploring their new surroundings, basking in a sunny window, or giving you that “Isn’t this the life?” look, Asher knows how to make the most of every moment.

Ready to share your home with a cat who’s mastered the art of reinventing themselves? Come meet Asher - Modesto’s finest, now proudly calling SF home!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
