Hi, I’m Moo Shu! I’m a sweet and gentle Great Dane with a reserved but playful personality. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me some time, and you’ll see my kind and patient nature shine through. I’m not one to demand constant attention, but I absolutely love a good neck scratch or a rub at the base of my tail—it’s the best!
I enjoy being close to my people and thrive in a calm, relaxed environment. When it comes to other dogs, I like to take things slow—I’ll let them make the first move while I observe and get comfortable. Once I’ve warmed up, I’m happy to have a canine friend by my side.
I’m gentle and adaptable, handling new situations with patience and grace. I haven’t shown a strong preference for men or women, and I’ve even shown some mild interest in cats, though I haven’t chased them.
What I Love:
- Snuggling: Give me a soft, warm spot, and I’m a happy girl.
- Special Treats: Strawberry and goat cheese “no-hide” chews are my absolute favorite.
- Cozy Vibes: A calm, peaceful atmosphere is where I thrive.
What I Don’t Love:
- Conflict: Rough play or tension isn’t my style.
- The Cold: I’m all about staying warm and cozy.
I’m housebroken and do well when crated. I know commands like “no,” “kennel,” and “wait,” and I’m working on “sit.” As a young Dane, I’m still figuring out the difference between toys and non-toys—sometimes I mistakenly think household items are for play! With patience and continued training, I’ll get the hang of it in no time.
I’m in good health and working on reaching my ideal weight. I’m eating well and steadily gaining, so I’ll be my healthiest self soon!
Forever Home Requirements:
- Companionship: I’d love a family who can spend time with me and isn’t away for more than 6 hours at a time.
- Yard: A physical fence isn’t required, but it’s a good idea to keep me safe during playtime. Any yard size works, as long as I get regular exercise.
- Daily Life: My forever family should be patient and willing to continue my training, helping me learn what’s a toy and what isn’t. Positive reinforcement goes a long way with me!
- Home Environment: I do best in calm, gentle environments and would prefer a home free of chaos or conflict.
Fun Fact: I have a knack for finding the coziest spots in the house, whether it’s a plush dog bed or a sunny patch of carpet. I’ll happily curl up there and relax, bringing a sense of calm and peace to the home.
