My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fresh off the scene and already stealing hearts, Dr. Calico has arrived to diagnose your home with a severe case of “needs-more-cuteness.” Her prescription? Endless affection, playful antics, and a healthy dose of Calico charm.

With her striking mix of orange, black, and white, Dr. Calico has a coat that would make any artist jealous - and the personality to match. While she may be a bit shy with new people at first, her true warmth and charm shine through once she feels comfortable. Whether she’s cautiously exploring her surroundings like the true professional she is or settling in for some much-deserved admiration, Dr. Calico knows how to make an impression.

Ready for a doctor’s visit you’ll actually look forward to? Come meet Dr. Calico and let her treat your heart to a lifetime of love and purrs! (No co-pay required.)

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
