Buddy is a sweet boy with a stubborn streak. His early years were hard for him. He was adopted at 1 year old from a shelter in Alabama by a family that could not care for him and kept him tied up with another dog. He has come along way! At 3 years old now, he is housebroken, but doesn’t indicate. You’ll need to take him out every 3 hours or so. He knows sit, stay, paw, and sharkbite (jump for a cookie) commands. He loves long walks and the dog park. Buddy is a snuggler, who has mixed feelings about his crate. He thrives in a home where he will not be left alone for long periods of time. His best fit is someone who has some experience with dog training.

Hazel is a Beagle mix dog. Our family originally brought her home from an Amish sawmill in Clarion, PA when she was just a pup. She is now 7 years old, or roughly 49 in dog years. She is wonderful around children, spunky with cats, but will love them up with time. Our life situation over the last year has been one where we have not been able to give her the attention she needs, and will probably be so for an unforseen amount of time. She is ready for a new home and will easily accept whoever adopts her.

But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. JJ is a neutered male beagle/terrier mix who is a little over 1 year old. He is a good eater and sleeps well at night on a dog bed in my bedroom. He does not like a kennel. He is pretty energetic and athletic and has the zoomies every day. He was found as a stray at Southwest high school. He is sweet and friendly to all, but needs to be worked with to help him not jump up on people. He NEEDS to be in a home with another dog. He is good as long as there is a person or another dog around him. If he is by himself, he cries and bays. He LOVES toys and empties his toy box every day. He has been pretty good about not chewing on anything other than the toys, but has counter-surfed a couple of times with success. Very affectionate and wants to be skin on skin. He can play fetch and follow a few commands. He has been overall pretty good with potty training, but has had some accidents. He does well on a leash and does well in the car. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
