Story
Animal Profile: Henry is an estimated 2-year-old 75 lb neutered male Beauceron who is social and friendly with people and dogs. He was a stray intake to the Chatsworth shelter in Los Angeles in 2023 as an adolescent dog, adopted and then found a couple of weeks back tied outside a house with his crate and a bag of food, abandoned. A good samaritan took him in and was told by the shelter that as an adoption "return" he would be euthanized after his stray hold due to overcrowding. We have stepped in to help. The good samaritan who has been caring for Henry for the last couple weeks reports that he is very social and friendly (hasn't met a stranger) has good manners and gets along with all the dogs in the house. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Note, Henry was listed as a Doberman Lab mix, but based on his double rear dewclaws we believe he is a Beauceron or Beauceron mix.  Foster Update: Henry has been in temp foster care since June 30 and has shown himself to be easy to handle, docile and affectionate with people and dogs. He seems to have been an outdoor dog and is learning house training and crate training. He does well with house/crate training with structure but still needs regular potty breaks and supervision to be successful. Henry absolutely loves to run and play with other dogs, chase and be chased. He shows interest in toys when other dogs are playing with them (not to try to take them away) but doesn't play much with toys on his own, yet. This boy is truly a gentle-giant. He is extremely even tempered and good natured and responds well to training. He is alert but not fearful or reactive to new people. All of his "challenges" are based in lack of training, not temperament, and he is learning quickly. He seems to still experiencing a lot of firsts (like car rides, hikes, going to the office) and so continued leadership from a human will be important for him.  Adopter Profile: Most important for Henry (more than people in the home, yard vs apartment, schedule) will be having a human who is comfortable providing foundational training and consistent leadership. We will continue to work on this in foster care, but with his size it will be important for him to learn good manners. Henry could do well with an active experienced owner in an apartment, or in a home, and would be OK in a pack with other playful dogs, or as an only dog with opportunities for play dates.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Henry was a stray intake to Chatsworth LA shelter in spring 2023, adopted and then abandoned in June 2024. He was taken in by a good samaritan and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on June 30, 2024. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Story
I hope you're having a great day! I've got some exciting news to share with you, but before that, did you know that German Shepherd Dogs were the first guide dogs in the 1920s? And the best part is, my half-siblings are still a popular choice today! Being part of this legacy has been an amazing experience, and I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter with you. I can't wait to spend some quality time with you in the near future. Just imagine the fun we'll have on our daily walks, playing catch on a sunny Sunday afternoon, or simply enjoying the outdoors. I promise to be your faithful companion every step of the way, and I'm not just saying that because I'm an excellent buddy. I've got a charming personality, and I'm devilishly handsome with a lush coat that craves daily brushing! I understand that life can sometimes be lonely, but I'm here to keep you company with my cuddles and hugs. I know what it feels like to be alone - I was just recently living on the streets all by myself. But now I'm ready and willing to be your best friend. And if you're looking for a new human friend, then you're in luck! With my good looks, I'll make the perfect wingman by making new friends for you wherever we go. People can't resist my soft, gentle brown eyes, and I just love making new friends. I've had my share of ups and downs, but I'm excited to start a new journey with you. One day, I got separated from my previous family and lost my way. It was a challenging time, but I was fortunate enough to make many friends along the way. I played with children, walked with moms and babies, hung out with teenagers, and even shared lunch with construction workers. The neighbors were kind enough to invite me over for dinner, and lay cozy beds on their front porches for me to sleep at night. I felt loved and cared for.    I'm ready to get back to work and make your life better. So let's make some unforgettable memories together! Fill out my application and bring me home today. Time is ticking, and I don't want to miss out on any of the amazing adventures that we'll have together. I'm 10 years old, HW- and vaccines up-to-date, and I can't wait to start a new chapter with you! ##2039507##

Story
Buster has been a member of our family for over a year and is loving, energetic, and impetuous. His exuberance is paired with a strong prey drive focused on rabbits and squirrels, untested with cats. He is ambivalent about other dogs (lives with a tiny terrier) and has never exhibited signs of reactivity. He would love to spend his life chasing ANYTHING, and will often do the scooby-doo scramble across hard surfaces to get wherever he is going quickly. He does best with durable toys and a securely fenced yard - he's an explorer! He has SO much love to give - his whole body wags and he leans against anyone he considers a friend. He is protective (but not aggressive) and travels well on walks and in the car. He can use a dog door, and knows the commands sit, stay, out, and off. He is 100% housebroken. He is food-motivated, which makes training easy. He'll be a perfect partner for someone with time and energy! Comes with crate, e-collar, loads of toys and a lifetime of fun!
