Story
Animal Profile: Galileo is an estimated 16 month old 65lb Beaceron mix. He was a stray intake and assessed at the Stanislaus shelter to be playful and goofy with people and dogs. He has a neat little corncob trick that is pretty adorable. He was scheduled for euthanasia on Sat 9/21 due to overcrowding but we pulled him at the 11th hour and he'll be arriving to Seattle area foster care. We'll share more as we get to know him.  Foster Update: Galileo is SO friendly! He immediately took to my 13 year old son and our 6.5 year old lab. He is very energetic, but also content cuddling with his head on your lap or nuzzled into your leg once he's worn himself out. He loves to meet new people and enjoys meeting new dogs. Galileo still has some puppy in him and benefits from confident handler on leash as he is quite strong and will pull when excited to see a dog or small critter. He is doing well in his crate, sleeps through the night, and is potty trained. He is such a smart guy; he’s learned sit and stay and is working on new commands each day. Galileo is amazing in the car and would love an active family who he can join on PNW adventures! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the the high kill Stanilaus Modesto animal shelter and transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 9/20/24. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 12, 2025, 5:44 pm

Story
*Currently fostered in Houston Texas, available for out of state adoptions via rescue transportation. Video meet and greet available prior to commitment* This dog is a collaborative effort between Moka's Mission and Houston Chow Chow Connection. Mocha is a fluffy mixed pup just eager to find her new lease in life. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas just moments before being euthanized. She is believed to be around 4 years old, and based on behaviors definitely has GSD, Chow Chow, and even possibly husky mixed in her as well. Current weight around 65, 70 lbs. Mocha is a smiling, eager to please, extremely intelligent pup who clearly has been desperate for reaching a potential that was never offered to her prior. She loves to play with toys now, ( was unfamiliar with on arrival) and can be quirky, and vocal during her playful bouts. A game of tug which result in some head pats is her favorite. She also is very smart, and when given attention and motivation is quick to learn. She already knows several basic commands including sit, shake, kennel, wait, settle, and leave it. She is extremely versatile and once she trusts you, will give you her best. If you want to go hiking or exercise, she is all about it. If you want a pup to relax in the home and enjoy a movie day, she is ready! She loves to curl up on the couch or at your feet when it's time to settle down, but when it's time to go she is the first one to be there and ready for you. She also loves to keep you company while you do the most menial house chore's such as laundry or dishes. Mocha clearly was kept away from other dogs and animals when she was owned previously, so we do think she'd be best as an only pup. Proper continued socialization training would be required in order for her to eventually be able to share space with other dogs, but she would need to be socialized as an only dog first before considering adding another in. She clearly has a desire to want to know other dogs and can walk by them and flirt while on leash just fine during walks. However, she hasn't had enough time and proper playmates to engage in playtime at present without being rough. Unfortunately, she is not ok with cats, which is to be expected of the breeds she possesses. Mocha is fully vetted meaning she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and on monthly prevention for flea, tick, and heartworm. Her adoption fee and transport is dependent on services used. Story
Remi is a senior female dog with a dignified and quiet personality. She is affectionate and loyal, and loves to lay in the sun. Remi is gentle and independent, but also friendly and loves to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite humans. She is good with other dogs but would be happiest as an only dog. She is an independent soul who wants nothing but love. She may be a senior dog, but she still has lots of love and affection to give to her forever family. If you're looking for a best friend for life, Remi is the perfect addition to your family.
