Hi there! My name is Poppy! I was surrendered to RASKC when my previous owner could no longer care for me. Now I`m on the search for a new home! I`m a very sweet and outgoing dog! My previous owner said that I lived with cats and am house trained. Here in the shelter I keep a nice, tidy kennel! In my prior home, I was not a fan of small children so I would do best if my new home has older, dog savvy kids or is an adult only home. I`m still working on my basic manners and should be consider somewhat a puppy. I have a lot of learning left to do! I weigh 55lbs and am considered a medium size dog. I will not get any bigger. I am an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow! I am outgoing and carefree, and I just can`t wait to find my forever home!My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other similar sized dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.

She is a little shy first but then warms up quickly, she is house and crate trained but will need more positive reinforcement. She does get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash. While she has a strong prey drive and gets excited on walks, she’s improving with training and loves to please. Sable enjoys playing with other dogs, especially those who share her playful nature.
