Meet Skipper: The Goodest Girl Nobody’s Adopted (Yet)Skipper is a two-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix with model-level looks and the personality of your funniest, most loyal bestie—all wrapped up in 46 lbs of snuggle-ready perfection.She’s house and crate trained, currently mastering the fine art of “sit” and “stay”, and will do literally anything for a treat (including pretend she knows tricks she definitely doesn’t).Here’s the sad part (cue tiny violin): Skipper has been with the rescue for almost a year. That’s 365 days of watching other dogs leave while she sits there like, “Cool cool, I’ll just... wait.”Skipper needs a kind, patient human who understands that trust takes time. But once you’re in? You’re her person for life. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
