Story
Obi is a 5.5-year-old Border Collie Shepherd mix. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is kid and cat-friendly. He is kennel-trained. He would love a home where he is the only dog and he has a yard! Obi can be difficult on the leash which is why a yard would suit him best. He’s been through a lot over the years before we brought him into our family and he takes a bit of time to adjust but comes out of his shell wonderfully and loves to give all the kisses! We unfortunately had to move and our new apartment does not allow dogs his size. He is a true joy and sweetheart to have in our lives and we would love to see Obi go to a home that will cherish him as much as we have. If you or someone you know is interested in fostering or adopting Obi please call/text me at 720-314-7975. This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. August 19, 2024, 6:50 pm

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Say hello to the one and only Minerva! This lively 1.5-year-old Border Collie mix is all set for the grand adventures of the good life. Minerva has made friends with other dogs and loves playing and romping around the yard. She loves playing tug and chewing on bones and soft toys. Minerva sleeps through the night in her crate, although she would be more than happy to cuddle in bed with you all night long. When given the chance, she has made a great sleepy buddy. Car rides are her jam and she makes a terrific passenger. If she had her way, she would go on all the car rides! Minerva likes a nice quiet house as she’s more on the shy side. She loves to hang out near you during the day while you work from home or keep you company while you sit and relax. A dog friend in the house makes her braver and she loves a four-legged wrestling partner. But she could be happy just being around her special person as well. She’s always ready for a walk and does well on a leash. She is very interested in tracking field mice and lizards during walks and her special skill is to jump in the air like a fox to pounce on a field mouse. Minerva knows sit, lay, paw and to wait to be released for her food. She is treat motivated and ready to learn new skills. As Minerva's trust in her foster family deepens, so does her affectionate side, overflowing with attention and love. She needs a little time to develop this trust and then she will reward you deeply. Minerva is calm, well behaved, and house trained. Equipped with up-to-date vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped, Minerva is ready to leap into your heart. Seal the deal by submitting your application today and prepare to welcome the newest member of your family! HOMEOWNERSHIP REQURED! Hi there! My name is Higgins, and I'm all about giving kisses and tail wags! I’ve met a lot of people, but I’m ready to find my best bud. Small yet mighty, I guarantee we’ll have a ball together! I sleep quietly in my crate, and I just know you're going to think I’m great. I’m your guy, and when you meet me, you’ll see why! I’m relatively low energy for a pup, except for my occasional zoomies. I love toys and snuggles. I’m completely crate trained and will let you know I need to go potty by standing by the door. I'm a quick learner and one of the smartest puppies around. I've even met a cat and did great! I’m a 4-month-old Border Collie mix and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. I'd love to meet you and show off my tail wags! Story
Rosemary is a playful, sweet, affectionate girl excited to find her forever home! This 3-year-old, 40-pound border collie mix is the perfect size to join you for adventures, snuggles, and a snack or seven. Rosie loves playtime and long walks as much as she loves cuddles on the couch and naps under your desk. Whatever her people are doing, Rosemary wants to be part of it! Rosemary is house-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps through the night. She is a smart and food-motivated girl who has mastered many key commands and walks well on leash (as long as she gets some breaks to smell the neighborhood happenings!). She loves other dogs and would do well either alone or with doggie siblings who are on the submissive side. When meeting new people, Rosemary prefers that everyone minds their manners and says hello before entering her home. But with a few minutes of patience and some treats, Rosemary is happy to receive pets, and soon enough, she will stick to you like glue and offer lots of kisses! Winning her trust is so rewarding because Rosemary is the most affectionate and loyal girl to her people.  Rosemary is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, heartworm-negative, and already waiting at the door for you to come take her on her next adventure! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1815459##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: This girl has such a great personality! She's playful and sweet, but not a crazy puppy. She is eager to please and understands the word "no. She is a bit nervous in nature and will need a patient family who gives her encouragement and praise to help her grow her confidence. She was much more confident after about 2 full days in our home and warmed up quickly to our dog. At night she has been sleeping in her crate through the night without a peep! During the day she plays in the yard and house with us and our dog and then we will have her go to her play pen and entertain herself with a variety of toys until she's ready for a nap. Currently we keep puppy pads in her play pen until she is fully potty trained. She is really good about going potty outside, especially once she saw our dog potty outside. I would say, with a good routine of being let outside, she is well on her way to being potty trained. She does like her privacy at times to potty. Again, I think this is a confidence thing that with praise she will get better at! She has some sensitivity to grass so at night before bringing her in, I take a baby wipe (without alcohol) and I would wipe down her belly area. This helps keep the grass pollen off of her. Symptoms of the sensitivity were redness/bumps on her belly after laying directly on the grass. This could be something she grows out of, and it's not immediate upon contact. She lived in a house with three boys so she enjoyed all the playtime and interaction. She is good with children. After running around outside she did enjoy a cuddle on the couch and she will fall asleep in your lap, if you let her. Keep chew toys handy as she loved gnawing on her puppy toys in the morning! Some lucky family is going to have their hearts stolen by this sweet girl! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: Meet Walter he is the best mix of playful & cuddly. He loves a good scratch behind his ears & to cuddle, but he also enjoys a good game of tug or fetch. He is an attentive fellow who is eager to please & loves to be praised & rewarded with treats! He is brave & friendly & has not met a human or dog he didn't like. He is still a baby so is still learning manners and proper dog etiquette but he is a quick learner! He has a scar behind his ear that isn't noticeable when looking eye to eye. We aren't sure where it came from but it has been there since we first met when he was just a few weeks old & it has never bothered him. Walter is ready for lots of love and his own home! Beware - if you come meet him you will fall in love with his sweet/happy face & brown eyebrows! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
