Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Hello there! I’m Rowan, a playful and affectionate puppy on a quest to find my forever home. My journey began in Colorado when I was just 9 days old, and since then, I’ve been surrounded by love and warmth. Growing up with four wonderful kids aged 8 to 16, three energetic dogs ranging from 8 months to 12 years, and four of my siblings has filled my life with joy and excitement—every day has been a delightful adventure! I’m the smallest of the pack, and I have a little spot on my eye that the vet assures me is nothing to worry about. Though I may be petite, I have a big personality and I’m not shy about expressing myself—I’ll definitely let you know if I’m feeling a bit left out! I would really thrive in a home with another dog to help show me the ropes, as I’ve always relied on my siblings and foster brothers for guidance. My foster mom has been fantastic at teaching me that bath time and nail trims can actually be fun! Because I’ve never been alone before, I may need a little extra love and patience during my first few days as I adjust to life without my brothers and sisters. I’m still mastering my potty training, but I’m a pro at using potty pads when they’re close by. And let me tell you, I absolutely love toys—especially socks (I have a special fondness for those)! I can’t wait to meet you and start our exciting new chapter together! *Will be available after 2/4/25* www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: Puppy 156 is beautiful and full of personality. She is devoted to her human and wants to be close to them all the time. She loves other dogs and would love a brother or sister to play with daily. She sleeps through the night in her crate with her human in sight. She is teething and loves to nip a little when she is playing. She is a smarty and speaks her mind when you leave her in her kennel alone. Another reason that a brother or sister to learn from may be an advantage to her. She has a sweet personality and loves to buck like a bronco when it is time to play. She is learning fetch with some of her stuffed animals and she seems like a smart little girl. She is very treat motivated and seems like she will be easy to train using treats. Her coat is soft like velvet and her eyes and face are simply beautiful. She is just a sweetheart with lots to learn and lots of love to give. *I'm getting fixed on 12/5 so I will be up for adoption after that date.* www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

She is very friendly and loves to give you kisses. She likes to play and run around, but knows when it is time to relax. She is very curious and very brave. She has conquered the patio steps and loves to be in the yard, sniffing and exploring. She is still working on her manners and potty training skills but is eager to please! Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! From the foster: This girl is just the sweetest little thing! She loves her people and wants nothing more than to be your shadow. I would say her energy level is moderate-ish (maybe a little high) as she has moments where she’s content being a couch potato, but she’s also ready to party when the opportunity presents itself! She could use a little work on some manners and potty training but she’s eager to please so with a little guidance I see her being quick to learn! She loves to be loved on and if she isn’t getting enough attention, she does the cutest army crawl to you to remind you she’s due for your loving. She is quick to settle at bedtime and has slept through night in her kennel www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Bandit came from an unplanned litter between a blue and red heeler (dogs not intended for breeding). He is 7 months old, intact. Bandit is good with kids (even little ones), also good with other dogs. He has gone through professional obedience/leash training and is house broken, as well as kennel trained. Additional training and follow up is available through training company. Unfortunately, we don't have the right property or time for Bandit to be happy and thrive. He would do amazing living on a large property, a farm or ranch. He could be trained to be a working dog as he is very athletic. We would love to find Bandit the perfect home where he can be happy and live up to his full doggy potential. Rehoming fee is priced for less than initial adoption fee ($750). His training was $3K. We are willing to be flexible if the right home is found.

Story
Wrigley is a 5yr old female Australian Cattle Dog Mix. She’s got a working dog’s energy with endless love for humans. She has some basic agility training, and knows pretty much any command you can think of. She loves to train, run, do puzzles and play. Highly food, toy, and affection motivated. She prefers to live in a house without other pets. Very independent when at home. She needs an owner who wants to work as much as she does, but will also love her as much as she loves. Super sweet and loving!

Story
Thriving in her foster home, 1 year old Target, the former stray, is finally safe. At 33 pounds, this white and tan beauty percolates with puppy enthusiasm and energy, sweetness and sociability. Tender and gentle, she loves being petted, cuddled and snuggled by her foster mom, resting her head on her, showing her paw for love and returning her affection by giving her hugs. A true people pup, Target also loves wagging her tail and greeting everyone she meets and was endearingly friendly towards the children she encountered at the dog park. Learning all about boundaries, she enjoys engaging with dogs of all sizes, walking and running with her foster mom, improving her leash skills along the way, and going swimming. Famously fond of tennis balls, peanut butter lick mats and treats, motivated by love and food, Target currently knows “come” and “no,” is almost fully crate trained (Benebones inside her crate help), and is at work on both her house-training and puppy manners. Now all Target needs is an adoring and active home without cats to continue her socialization, perfect her manners and complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for a lifetime of happy hugs and a love like no other.  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Orville #2 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Oh, to be loved by tenderhearted 2-year-old Orville! The 43-pound red and cream beauty, so sweet and so social, loves snuggling and cuddling with his fosters, resting his head on them, rolling over for tummy rubs and then dancing about in delight. Finding his place and fitting in smoothly with his doggy foster friends’ “pack,” Orville is interested in and gentle with children of various ages, and enjoys making new friends of the people he meets on his walks. And speaking of walks … he loves his hour-long walks, honing his leash skills along the way, (he could easily become a sturdy running/hiking companion), and also loves supervised play with neighbor dogs. So bright that he learned to fetch after just one day, Orville is partial to stuffies that squeak, Nylabones and cotton rope toys, and is highly motivated by love, food and toys. He presently knows “sit” perfectly, is polishing his “come,” “down,” “no” and “leave it” commands, sadly gets sick on car rides, but is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now, all Orville needs is a loving home, preferably with a securely fenced yard (no cats, paw-lease) and patient adopters to continue bolstering his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, both mentally and physically, fur-ever. See more photos of Orville here!   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth.
