Story
This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post.   Stix is about 5 years old (est. birthday is 1/18/2020) and is a total catch. He is smart, food motivated and has been through basic training. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, rollover and has the cutest most majestic wolf howl. He LOVES to play fetch, hike and go running. He is crate-trained and house-trained and loves puzzle toys and bones and any games you might teach him. He can live with other dogs, with proper introductions, he does not do well with cats. He would make a great companion for an active household. He is protective of his food. To meet Stix, put in an application at  www.eapl.com  His adoption fee is partially sponsored by two generous friends of EAPL and only $150!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F03ALyDS-_E  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9_GcmmRUQiw    December 22, 2024, 11:15 am

Story
Apollo is very sweet and kind. He is emotionally supportive and will comfort you if he sees ypu are in distress he will try to cuddle with you. He barks, but not much, maybe once a day, for protection. It's truely rare and won't cause neighbors to be upset. He is quite yet non verbally communicative. He alerts you to needing to use the restroom, to being thirsty, and or hungry. He is very patient. Walks well on a leash. And he still playful like a puppy in spurts. If you ask him to play, he will! And sometimes he will initiate play himself. He loves tug a war. He is very mellow. He is good with kids. He is a senior and doesn't like other dogs. He is great with cats. We hate to see him go but we unfortunately have too much of a busy schedule to give him the attention he deserves. We would love to see him go to someone willing to adopt a senior and give him longer walks and more exercise. He does like to sit on the couch but will not climb on your bed.

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Coco #12  finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).   Could any dog be as charismatic as Coco? At 37 pounds, this warm hearted 1-year-old white and gray miss, so sweet and so gentle, loves snuggling and cuddling with her foster mom, resting her head on her, showing her paw for more loving and then turning over for tummy rubs. Inquisitive and intelligent, with a hint of independence, Coco loves all toys, especially her squeaking dragon toy, chewing on ice, licking frozen yogurt and peanut butter, and going for walks, learning to pull less on her leash. Currently being treated for heartworm disease, she’s understandably not as active as she will be once she gets the green light to “GO” as befits her breed. Preferring kibble for training treats, motivated by food, toys and love, Coco knows “come,” “sit,” “stay” and “down,” is at work on her doggy manners, and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now her ideal home is one with a securely fenced yard and loving adopters who will perfect her manners, continue her socialization, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.     If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. Story
Hi there! I'm BiBo, a 1 year old Heeler mix with tons of love to share! I'm a sweet and happy girl that was found wandering, but luckily someone swooped in and offered to help me out! I'm living with a foster now and he says I am a good girl. I've got a great little personality and would love to be someone's furever friend. I do good with other dogs and love to play. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2130401##

Story
Dottie is a sweet active puppy who learns very fast and very easy to teach. She is approx 5 mos old, 20# and we think she’s a Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix maybe with some terrier given the scruffiness of her littermate. Dottie loves playing with other dogs and being with her humans. She has not been tested with kids or cats but a respectful child 10+ may be considered. Dottie has been good on the leash but isn’t used to cars and traffic so a rural or suburban environment would suit her best. She doesn’t tolerate the crate for long periods of time but she is nearly potty trained when let out often and will go to the door when it’s time to potty. She has not been destructive out of the crate overnight but does wake up early due to her small puppy bladder. Dottie is not a good fit for an apartment situation and requires a secure fenced in yard with owners who aren’t gone long hours. A medium active home who will teach her fun things and take her on adventures would be ideal. If you’re interested in meeting Dottie the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Dottie is spayed, utd on vaccs, and chipped. Dottie’s adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.March 15, 2025, 10:58 am

Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1992740##

Story
Maya is a 6 year old mutt (blue heeler, lab, and staffordshire terrier mix) who is very eager to please. She loves learning new commands and can demonstrate sit, stay, down, spot (goes to her "spot"), and has a decent recall. She likes to have a job to do (she will play fetch until your arm can throw no more). Maya gets along well with other dogs and is also friendly with cats. Maya is loyal and attuned to her humans, and she can sometimes be protective. Maya is vocal when new people come over to the house and may take a couple visits to warm up to someone. She can also be skittish/anxious with delivery drivers and unfortunately, she's also skittish around small humans. She will thrive in a house with an experienced dog owner without young kids. ##267461##

Story
Meet Benny – The Famous Fetch Pro & Snuggle Expert! Hey there, future best friend! I’m Benny—super smart, extra handsome, and a total sweetheart. You might have even seen me on 9NEWS Pet Line—yep, I’m kind of a big deal! But don’t worry, fame hasn’t gone to my head—I’m still just a playful, happy pup looking for my forever home. I love playing fetch (seriously, got a ball? I’m in!), and I’ve already taught myself how to use the doggy door like a pro. I always take my business outside because, well, I’m a gentleman. I’m getting braver every day, and having another dog around really helps me feel even more confident. Plus, I love snuggling up with my foster puppy pals—it’s kind of my thing. At night, I curl up in my cozy dog bed and sleep peacefully until morning. No crate needed—I’m a good boy through and through! When my foster mom leaves me out during the day, I’m totally trustworthy and non-destructive. I’m part cattle dog (super smart!) and part lab (extra loving!), about 25lbs now, and will grow to around 40lbs of pure loyalty and fun. I’m fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and SO ready to meet my forever family. Could that be you? Let’s find out! Love, Benny ##2279104##

Story
Juniper is a terrific girl who knows all her manners and likes to show off what she knows! She’s potty trained and walks great on and off leash. She plays fetch and is a terrific hiking partner!Juniper’s issues stem from her breed tendencies; she can be reactive while on leash and she tries to herd things. Her reactivity mainly presents as impulse-control: barking which she can be verbally interrupted during. She’ll bark at a dog on leash or from inside a car. She also struggles in the kennel environment. The lack of exercise and the constant dog presence has caused her to redirect. She lived at pranaDOGS for 5mo and lived with 4 other dogs in a group setting without issue. She doesn’t enjoy playing with other dogs but she cohabitated with them without issue. She should not live with a cat. Juniper isn’t thriving in the kennel environment and needs to be placed through a foster-home or another avenue. Juniper would do best in a home in a rural setting, or in an area without a lot going on. She would do best in a home where walking on leash isn’t her only means of exercise. And where she can be a dog and work some of her heeler tendencies. Currently in Durango, CO. ##1910911##

Mavis is the very definition of one-of-a-kind. She’s a petite, 18-pound low-rider with short legs, a long body, and the scruffiest apricot-and-white coat you’ve ever laid eyes on. And then… there are her actual eyes. One a deep, soulful brown, the other a mesmerizing icy blue—you’ll find yourself getting lost in them daily. They tell her story. They connect with you. They see you. And once she knows she's safe with you, those eyes will never leave yours. ***Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to read complete and thorough bios about our dogs, see additional photos/videos, read our adoption process, and submit an adoption application.
