Story
The Brush gang arrived at the Rescue from Brush, CO.  Animal Control had them for some time and could not find their furever families, so they asked for help.  They are a sweet, friendly group of Austrailian Cattledog, Lab and pittbull.   They are a very energetic and happy group that can jump high, so a high fence with a large yard or property will be needed for these pups.   Brush pink flowers is an almost 2 year old and looks mostly Cattledog with her spots, she is spayed, microchipped and current on shots.  She is kennel trained but has not spent time in the house, she has her own kennel at night but shares her yard with her brother. Please fill out an application at www.fureverdogdenver.com   If you have any questions or to meet me, please call (720) 588-6809. ##1788564##

Story
Meet Dunbar, also known as Koda Bear—a young, intelligent mix of Lab and Cattle Dog with so much love to give! Dunbar is a sweet, loyal pup who is looking for the perfect family to help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.Dunbar thrives in a home that can provide a steady routine, guidance, and plenty of positive reinforcement. He needs a patient and committed family willing to set boundaries and reward his progress as he builds confidence. Like many young dogs, Dunbar is still learning and refining his manners, but with consistent training, he has the potential to flourish.Although Dunbar can be wary of new people and new dogs at first, he warms up with time and patience. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he reveals his true self: a snuggly, affectionate companion who loves to play. Dunbar enjoys the company of dogs his size and is currently thriving in his foster home with two other medium-sized dogs. He loves playtime and lounging on the couch with his foster siblings but prefers a home without cats or small dogs.Dunbar is a smart, potty-trained pup who is kennel-trained and adores his toys. He would do best in a home where he can be let out of the kennel before interacting with other dogs. With proper introductions and a loving environment, Dunbar will reward his new family with endless loyalty and cuddles. If you are patient, dedicated, and ready to help Dunbar grow into his best self, you will gain the most incredible best friend. He is ready to find a home where he can feel secure and loved. Could that be yours? Apply to adopt Dunbar today!

Story
Trishula is a 1 year old old shepherd/cattle dog mix, appx 45 pounds. He is a wonderful dog with a sweet and gentle nature. Though he may take a little time to warm up, once he feels safe, his kind personality shines through. He is treat motivated (especially with the right treats!) and a quick learner who already knows many commands. With patience and consistency, Trishula is sure to learn even more commands and build confidence in new situations. On walks, Trishula does very well on a leash and does not pull. He is still learning how to avoid getting tangled in legs but is making great progress. Car rides are another strong point for Trishula, as he settles in nicely and enjoys the ride.At first, Trishula can be shy with strangers and may prefer to hang back when meeting new people. However, his gentle nature and medium energy make him an easygoing companion once trust is built. He is also great with other dogs!Trishula would thrive in a home that understands his need for a little time to adjust and appreciates his loving and loyal personality. If you are looking for a calm, intelligent dog who will bond deeply with you, Trishula is ready to meet his forever family! He is currently in foster care. Fill out an application to meet him today.

Story
Lila is deaf, and that is her special need. And she is quite happy and loving. Lila LOVES people so very much and will walk into you and curl right up, getting love and snuggles. She has been well socialized with other dogs and the cat that lives at the foster home. She did not initially like the cat, but now she snuggles right up with him and enjoys having him around. She is a gentle girl who is learning her way around the best way to take her cues. She is spayed and microchipped, and is a wonderful companion for someone who is around often and wants to help Lila continue to evolve. She walks well on a leash, never goes too far, and loves attention. Lila enjoys playing with a Kong food dispenser rolling around the kitchen floor (and we enjoy watching her play with that as well!). She has learned what it is to play and what dog toys are now, and that has been the best evolution to watch! She is going to need some training to figure out that she needs to look to her owner for cues. We have been working on that, but she needs more work. She has started to look at our faces for direction, though she does not seem to comprehend the "thumbs up" many deaf dogs can respond to. She will need someone who is willing to do training specific to deaf dogs. Lila does not love going in the car, but goes every day and has gotten much better. She does still drool a bit. The more she is restrained in the car, the better she does. She can be a little picky about food, but loves chicken and puppy food, and always enjoys treats. She is exceptional, and we know there is her person out there knowing that she is such an outstanding girl who deserves all of the love that a person has to offer. She has such a tender and loving disposition, you will fall in love immediately.

Story
Harlow the 76 lbs lap dog! I said what I said, ok? Harlow is a 1 year old, male, Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Mix. This sweet, sweet boy is unfortunately, looking for a new home. You see, Harlow has springs on his feet. These springs sometimes land him on the other side of the fence where he doesn’t belong and his family is having a hard time keeping him contained. Harlow LOVES dog friends and he just leaves to go seek out canine companions to romp around with. So, he’s looking for a home with a 5-6 ft privacy fence and a canine companion that likes to wrestle and play. Harlow does well with the children in his home, however, he isn’t the most social guy and can be growly and on edge with new people, so we feel a home without a lot of comers and goers would be best for him. He warms up, but his humans should be mindful of his skepticism and help him learn to trust accordingly. He’s house trained, crate trained, and did we say a lap dog? Harlow has attended doggie day care and he LOVES it! However, he was shy and nervous with the staff but when they finally let him with the other dogs he lit up! Harlow is in foster in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/harlow. Story
Poor Kino was found by a dumpster in Texas. We don’t know how long he was on the streets, BUT we do know the street life was no life for him. He loves people and seems to have lived in a home at some point in his life. He is around 3 years old, about 55 pounds, and we assume a heeler type mix. After he was found by the dumpster, he ended up at a high-kill shelter in Houston and was euthanasia listed for space before he came to MHCR. He was very sick when first rescued; he was underweight and battling an infection. After some TLC in his foster home and various medical screens and antibiotics, he is doing much better now and is ready to find his family! Kino has done well with various other dogs, and he likes kids. He likes to play but is also low-maintenance in that he is crate trained, quiet, good on leash, and sleeps through the night. Pretty much perfect, right? Kino is a very smart, loving, and attentive dog who deserves the best from here on out. Please apply if you think there is space for him in your family! Kino is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/kino You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Letif has come so far!!! He’s been in foster for 4 years and 3 months. He was a super shy feral little pup when he came in. He’s made so much progress! He loves to have you throw toys in the yard for him, and he sometimes brings it back! He really enjoys having time spent with him, but is a touch shy still. I would say mostly potty trained because he never goes on the inside of his kennel. He is a super happy dog! It looks like he is smiling a lot!! Story
Hi there! My name is Lightning Zap, I’m a Cattle Dog/Lab mix (although most people say I’m 100% cuddle bug). And not to brag, but I’m also quite a handsome lil guy, too. As you might have noticed, one of my ears has a mind of its own, flopping sideways in the most adorable way, and I have a black and brown brindle coat that is the softest ever!Even though I’m still a young pup, I’m quite calm, content and laid-back. But don’t be fooled - if you bring out the toys, you’ll see me come to life! And treats? YES PLEASE! I’m treat motivated, and always ready to show off how much I’m learning (potty training is coming along well, by the way!).I love playing with dogs of all sizes, even the big ones, and I absolutely adore kids. I’m also a big fan of naps – so after a good play session, I’m all about snuggling up for a snooze.Oh, and I’ve been told I have a goofy side that’ll make you smile. I’m growing fast, so I’m still a little clumsy at times, but that just adds to my charm, right? Oh, and I just discovered snow, and I can’t get enough of it!So, if you’re looking for a cuddly and playful goofball to fill your life with love and laughter, I think we’d be a perfect match. Let’s play and snuggle together forever!Lightning Zap is super friendly and loves being around people. His soft, cuddly coat is perfect for snuggles, and his calm demeanor makes him the ideal companion for anyone looking for a relaxed yet playful puppy. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing little guy into your home, Lightning Zap is waiting to bring his warmth and charm into your life! Next step is to apply to adopt on our website www.souldog.org and someone will be in touch with you for next steps! Once you have an approved application you can meet this lovable fluffball today!
