Story
Dahlia (aka Mila) is guessed to be a 1 yr old Cattle dog or German Shorthair Pointer mix around 40 lbs. She is loyal, sweet and eager to please her humans. She walks really well on a lead in a heel position, looking for direction. Mila is dog and kid friendly. We have not yet tested her with cats, but we believe she would be good with a dog savvy cat. She's a working dog and pretty active, so will require physical and mental enrichment. She came to Colorado from Oklahoma and has quickly gained confidence in a home environment. Shes playful and a little goofy. She’s also very smart and already learned a number of commands, including sit, down, paw, and come! We are now working on stay and other higher level training. She is housebroken but has had a couple accidents when stressed. With patience and consistency learning her new family’s routine, she will adjust quickly. There is plenty of life now to flourish and feel love for this sweet girl, who was apparently kept outside her entire life and then left in a backyard when her owner moved. If you have a comfy couch and an empty lap to share, Mila would love to meet you! She is fully vetted and healthy and ready to go home ASAP! She is waiting in Aurora.

Story
Cooper, Blue Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Cooper tends to be shy at first but warms up pretty quick. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with Junie going on walks and exploring with her. He LOVES attention. He is a very loving and loyal dog with the silliest personality. I think he may be more human than dog. He gets along with other dogs but does take a minute to acclimate to them. He loves to give kisses (I think he was a lizard in his past life…hahaha). Junie, Australian Shepherd/Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Junie is a very loving and loyal dog. She is the boss and loves keeping Cooper in line. She likes to go on walks and explore with him. She gets along with other dogs great, but she will growl when she has had her fill. She will not nip or bite. She is a bit more relaxed and laid back than Cooper, but still loves to play around with him. She also is a bit of an attention hog. She will stare through your soul until you acknowledge her. She is very in tune with human emotion and will snuggle with you when you are sad. She’s a very sweet soul. She also may be more human than dog. They are a bonded pair. They have grown up together and I would hate to separate them. They are soulmates and I would love for them to stay together. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but they are so worth it! We are having to re-home them due to a move across the country. This means we will be living out of a small camper and traveling all over the southeast. I don’t feel that this is a fair life for my pups to live. They love to run and play, and they wouldn’t get this freedom if they came with us.

Story
Mary arrived at our rescue partner as a stray with her puppy, Harold! Momma is now ready for adoption herself! New note from her foster: " Meet Mary! Mary is a lover and a hunter, fond of cuddling as well as playing tug-of-war and fetch. Over the past few months, she has worked on becoming accustomed to other dogs and, while she is picky about her dog friends, she has made a couple and has made good progress at tolerating nearby pups. She is highly intelligent, loyal, and trusting towards her caretaker. She is fully crate and bathroom trained and will let the caretaker know when it is time to go. She enjoys both roaming the house and backyard without reacting to dogs beyond the windows or fence. In the past few months, she has encountered cats, children, and cleaning equipment with great interest! While she finds desires to play with cats, they simply seem to run. She is very accepting and calm around even toddlers, whom she greatly enjoys receiving pats from. She even finds little interest in cleaning equipment from lawn mowers to vacuums to brooms. Mary is eager to train, learn new tricks, and explore new places while on walks. She is excitedly awaiting the day she can embark on her next adventure with a new owner! Older note from her foster: "Mary has been doing great! She loves to go on walks and stays right by your side. She's a big snuggle bug and has to be right next to you wherever you are. She is a little weary of men but warms up pretty quick. She's so perfect! Meet Scooby and Sully! These adorable babies are ready to find their forever homes! From Scooby's Foster: " Scooby aka Scoobs is such a sweet boy! Loves belly scratches and running around outside with his foster brother. He is crate trained and potty trained! Loves to lay on his blanket and will go lay in his crate when told. He can be a little skittish but we're working on his confidence! An absolute pleasure to have in our home ADOPTION FEE: $550 We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Story
Meet Hashbrown and Espresso! Hashbrown is the cattle dog and Espresso is the little terrier who likes to use Hashbrown as a bed! This adorable bonded pair came into our rescue partner separately as strays on the same day, but with how quickly they bonded in their foster home it's totally possible they were buddies who just got separated prior to being brought in! We would love for these two sweet babies to be adopted together. Hashbrown is easy going, loves pools and splash pads, and gets along with everyone she meets! She has done well with large and small dogs and LOVES getting attention. She has done great with her potty training and even learned the doggy door! Please note that sweet Hashbrown is currently experiencing a medical condition that prevents her jaw from opening more than a couple of centimeters. She can take small treats and eats a lot of wet food at the moment. She is going to be evaluated by a specialist and receive medical care prior to being adopted. Oakley has been in our family for almost 5 years (adopted her at 8 weeks old), but unfortunately we no longer have the ability to give her the full life she deserves. Shes a high anxiety breed and ultimately under stimulated which is resulting in her having accidents when left alone at home. When exercised well and appropriately stimulated/worked she does great.
