Meet Pepper! She is a 3 year spayed female border collie mix! We are not sure what she is mixed with, but she is a petite girl, weighing about 20 lbs. Pepper came into the rescue with Hercules, she was a stray found tied to a fence in east TN. She is currently in a foster home in NY by the CT border. Pepper’s foster family adores her. She is a very sweet, spunky girl with a big personality. She is such a fun dog to be around. She lives with big and small dogs in her foster home and gets along great with everyone. She would do well with dogs that don’t mind sharing toys as she likes to steal from her foster siblings when playing. She also is great with cats. Pepper is a very playful dog and would benefit from someone relatively active who will help get her energy out. She can also be a couch potato and loves to snuggle up with you. She is great in the car and loves to go on adventures with you. Pepper is medically up to date and housebroken. She is crate trained but is adjusting to a new routine in her foster home. When she is left alone she may bark for a few minutes, but quickly settles down. However, she has no problem sleeping through the night in her crate. Pepper is working on some basic obedience and is a very smart girl. She can occasionally be a little vocal in the home but quickly settles down. Nova is an 8 month old Aussie/Border Collie. She is looking for a job to keep her busy. She never lived in a house, was never on a leash or had a collar on. She was surrendered to Animal Control due to the fact they just left her run all over and were going to be facing tickets due to leash laws and dog running at large. She is somewhat timid, but is being a good girl in the house and learning manners. She is housebroke using a doggie door. She gets along with the other dogs, but would recommend no small dogs because she wants to boss them around. She has the tendency to be jealous of other dogs getting your attention. And a fenced yard so she can run & play with balls & frisbees. She is a smart dog, just needs the right person to bring her best out of her. She sleeps beside the human bed at night and doesn't make a peep. She has taken a liken to the man of the house so might be a good companion to a male that likes to do outside activities like hiking, 4 wheeling, and so many options she would be up too. Scottie is a complete gem of a pup. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and would do best with another. Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 7 months old. He is 50% Border Collie mix and maybe Terrier or Lab. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger but very sweet personality. He is the most outgoing of his litter. He has the long beautiful coat of the Border Collie. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He walks wonderfully on a leash and will be a wonderful family companion. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. He is outgoing enough to be the only dog or would be fine with another dog as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older.
