She’s currently working on her socialization in foster care and is making great strides. Daffodil is a sensitive soul, so a quieter home would be ideal for her—loud noises tend to startle her. We also think she would thrive with another dog in the home to show her the ropes and provide some comfort. She’s catching on to potty and crate training but like any young pup, she’ll need an adopter who is committed to keeping up with her routine. Daffodil is exploring the world with her mouth, as most puppies do, so some redirection and positive reinforcement are helping her learn what’s appropriate. Dash is a sweet 1 1/2 year old boy rescued from a shelter. He is a cuddle bug that loves to receive and give affection. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, and leave. We would love to keep him, however he does not get along well with our other dog. He would do best in a home without other dogs. We are unsure of how he would do with small children. Dash tested heartworm positive and is currently on medication. He will need additional veterinary care for this very treatable condition. He is has a huge heart and is wonderful with humans, he just needs the right pet-free loving home where he can thrive and give LOTS of cuddles. Please contact if interested!

Meet Kennedy, who was born on November 25, into the care the care of one of our fosters. Her mom came from the Rowan County Animal Shelter, and she is a Border Collie / Hound mix. Kennedy weighs 10 lbs. and is such a good girl. She is the only puppy of the litter of 8 that has fuzzy "terrier" hair. She has the cutest face and markings. Kennedy is smart and very playful and LOVES to go outside and run around. She is not scared of anything, but when it's time, she is ready for bedtime. Kennedy is learning to fetch and loves to play with her stuffies. She is a very funny girl, sleeps in her playpen at night and uses a pee pad when available. Her foster family is working on her potty training, and they are almost 1/2 way there! Kennedy will be spayed at 6 months, and she is great with other dogs and kids.
