Story

Dash is a sweet 1 1/2 year old boy rescued from a shelter. He is a cuddle bug that loves to receive and give affection. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, and leave. We would love to keep him, however he does not get along well with our other dog. He would do best in a home without other dogs. We are unsure of how he would do with small children. Dash tested heartworm positive and is currently on medication. He will need additional veterinary care for this very treatable condition. He is has a huge heart and is wonderful with humans, he just needs the right pet-free loving home where he can thrive and give LOTS of cuddles. Please contact if interested!

This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her. This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in. Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of neglect. Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence. She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger. She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other. Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy. She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. This handsome scruffy black and white darling boy is called Ross and we have determined that he is a Border Collie/Border Terrier mix that is estimated to be 5 months old and weighs 14 pounds and destined to be around 35 pounds as an adult. This boy and his sister, Rachel, were abandoned in a small rural area of Tennessee at a cabin that was a parttime retreat for a family that lived 200 miles away. Fortunately ,the cabin’s doorbell camera caught these puppies being abandoned and alerted the property owner that these poor puppies were in trouble with no food or water anywhere around. To make matters worse, impending frigid weather was on its way to their area. The doors opened and rescue forces got to work quickly to go and pick up the puppies and carry them to a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home. This puppy and his sister are both smart and anxious to please. Ross wants to be someone's special Valentine. He is crate trained and learning what it's like to be in a warm and loving home. It's hard to imagine that only 2 weeks ago some cold-hearted person dumped him and his sister Rachel to possibly die from lack of care or food. God was with them in finding immediate help and they have been worth every effort. So sweet and loving and innocent. Beautiful pups with wiry faces and sleek Terrier bodies that bring a smile when you meet them. Ross is being neutered on Feb. 4th and will be ready for a forever home on Valentine’s Day. We estimate that he will grow to be a 40 pound handsome boy that will bring so much fun, love and adventure to the person or persons who adopt him. This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character. A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life. He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive. He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity. Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating. Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him. He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown. His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring. Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself. Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes. At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or your local neighborhood. He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS! To our Boy George they are just another friend in life! We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard. He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber. But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day. Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this. Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone. But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George. He craves the boundaries and rules. He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable. This boy named Comet has had a story to his life that has not always been comfortable to know about. He has survived a hip injury that was given an expensive surgery to correct and through all his early two years of owner neglect this boy has nothing but passionate love and sweetness for the people that are in his life. Our videos are vast and say it all as you observe his desire to kind of absorb himself into his person’s body. He is pure LOVE and softness as a soul that wants to be with you every minute of the day that you can allow him to be. He is 2 years old and 47 pounds and a softly furred Border Collie mix boy that adores people and is good with all other animals that he encounters. Comet is special. We just cannot describe how special he truly is. It is something we cannot explain. He is housebroken, crate trained (spent too much time in a crate from a neglectful home) and he is good on a leash and loves to ride shotgun on car rides with you. He is truly a dog with a human personality and movements and attitude that go far beyond dog behavior.
