Hi, my name is Panda and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Mar 08, 2025. Learning new tricks and exercising my brain are my absolute favorite things to do! The only way it could be any better would be if I could learn things with you. We could show off new, fun tricks together and be the coolest pair ever!

Story
I've had Curtis for 3 years. Rehoming him is my absolute last resort because he is a dog that needs a home with patience and the willingness to work with him. He's a sweet boy and loves pets and cuddles, but when I got him at a year old, he had been in 6 different homes. He is a traumatized dog that needs lots of time and patience to be comfortable with a new owner. He's great with other dogs of all sizes, he's been around my 9 y/o sister and her friends but had given warning growls towards her friends, so I'm not sure about how he is with certain kids. He's food aggressive towards other dogs, it'll take him time to be comfortable with people. Potty and kennel trained. He's fine on a leash, but pulls. Not reactive towards other dogs on a walk, but I make sure to keep him far away just in case. He's an amazing friend and he's such a character. He's a cutely awkward and funny guy. I just want to find a family willing to help him.

Story
Meet Ziggy! This handsome boy is just over a year old and is likely a Lab/Border Collie mix, bringing together the best traits of both breeds—intelligence, loyalty, and a playful spirit. Rescued from Okanogan County, Ziggy is now looking for a loving home where he can truly thrive. Neutered and fully up to date on vaccines, Ziggy is ready to start his next chapter. He does well with other dogs and has a friendly, medium-energy personality—happy to join in on playtime but also content to relax with his people. Like many rescues, he’ll need a little guidance as he settles into a home environment, but with patience and love, he’ll be the perfect companion. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy with a big heart, Ziggy might just be your perfect match!

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. JACKSON is actually named ACTION JACKSON and sometimes called JACK JACK. We think he is possibly a Border Collie mix…maybe some Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). Estimated DOB 1/1/24. He weighs 50# and is full grown. He is an energy level of about a 7…needs exercise. He is kennel trained and leash trained. He is a little shy at first meeting but warms up quickly. He loves people and attention. I have not had him around small children… he would need to be tested but he does have a very sweet personality. He also totally leaves my 3 house cats alone. He is crate trained and leash trained. He would do as an “only” dog but a friend to play with is ideal. He is VERY SMART!!! This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Needing to rehome Dexter. My friend took him in from another family and then had to leave the state, thus leaving Dexter with me. He is very sweet, he loves playing fetch and being near anybody. He is the happiest dog you can ever meet. Very timid but also has lots of energy. Very good in the car. He will make a great companion to anyone.

Story
They are quite the dynamic duo. Lolo is big sister and protector - of both her human family and her brother Casey. And Casey is the goofball who wants nothing more than to play and give kisses. They are brother and sister and we want them adopted together. They love to spend their time romping in the yard and taking leisurely walks around the ranch. These beautiful and loyal companions would make great additions to an active family. They are fully vaccinated, neutered and spayed, and microchipped for life. They can be transported anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1939561##
