Story
Meet Tux! The only Male in his litter, he started life surrounded by girls. Tux was born October 12th, so is just the perfect puppy age for adoption. Tux and his litter mates appear to be Lab / Border Collie mixes. He is very sweet and friendly and is having a great time playing with the dogs at his foster home. He's not too sure about the cat, but is not at all aggressive towards her. Tux has the best attributes of both a Lab and Border Collie and would make a great family dog! Tux is located in Cashmere, Washington. Please submit an adoption application at: https://www.cognitoforms.com/Okandogs1/DogAdoptionApplication

Story
Hi I am Shiloh a fluffy bundle of joy!I am a working breed, highly intelligent and a high energy guy. I play hard and love to run and herd anything that moves. I would do well on a farm with a job to do or with someone who has a place for me to run off my energy. I show great promise to be a great working dog. I am just recently learning to play with other adult dogs as I have been an only dog in my household until surrendered. My favorite pastimes are eating, running, sleeping and chewing the laces out of my all of my foster mom’s shoes!Because of my built in herding instincts and the fact that I am still a puppy, I like to nip and my puppy teeth are sharp. I would not be a good fit for a house with small children as I don’t know any boundaries yet. Although, I could learn, I am not there yet. My foster mom is working with me on manners, and I’m learning as fast as I can. My foster mom has started on house training with puppy pads and says I am doing an amazing job.Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport fee is $250.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Meet Boone!  If you’re looking for an all around good dog, Boone is your guy. Boone is a very well behaved and sweet Border Collie in his 9th year. He loves to play fetch above all else, he will catch a frisbee or chase a ball, and always bring them back to be thrown again. Boone is an excellent trail dog as he does very well both on and off leash. Boone is very quiet and rarely barks. He does well with cats, and gets along with the other dog in his foster home. History with children is unknown. He’s, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and potty trained. Boone came into foster care a bit overweight and has been working on losing weight with lots of walks and fetch playing, along with a low calorie diet. He has lost 5 pounds and is currently 63 pounds with a goal of 57. He will need to continue on a low calorie senior diet along with joint protection supplements. If you are interested in being Boone’s best friend, please fill out a statement of interest at alternativehumanesociety.com ##2282001##

Scarlet is 1 1/2 to 2 years old (January 16) and is possibly a Border Collie/Lab mix. -At the shelter since Summer 2023 with no interest. -Used to be shy and timid....now she is well socialized and loves to get all of your attention and she's not afraid to ask for it! -Energetic breed who would love a nice yard to run in and a family to love on. -35 pounds. -Gets along with other dogs! -She would love someone to snuggle up with on the couch! -She can walk on a leash, but it does need some work. -She would love kids to run around the yard with! -Video of Scarlet: https://youtube.com/shorts/ecTw12Lo6DU?feature=share As with all of our dogs, please bring any children and/or dogs to meet Scarlet. Even though she is in video with her sister, Sadie, they do not need to be adopted together. I did get them mixed up in the video; Sadie is all black on face, Scarlet has white on nose. Scarlet is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test (January 14th), and on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $550 total, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost.
