Story
Miss Sammy is in a shelter in central California.  She is just 9 weeks old and weighs 8 lbs. 9-week-old female Border Collie mix weighing in at 8.6lbs.  She injured herself in the shelter kennel and possibly got her foot caught in the kennel door.  In an attempt to remove the foot she lacerated, dislocated, and fractured the middle toe on her right front paw. We are trying to finder her a foster in the Seattle so we can have that foot assessed and get her the vetting she needs. This is a note from a shelter staff member:  'When I approached the hospital kennel she was non-weight bearing on the front foot and seemed to offer it to me with the saddest eyes, begging for help'.  If you could consider fostering Sammy during her vetting and healing please email fkrokower@msn.com and include your phone number.  Supplies will be provided.  Thank you.  August 19, 2024, 11:27 am

Story
Hi I am Buddy,I have been told that I am a beautiful dog with my long coat and big brown eyes, but they could be just joking with me!Even though I am over a year old I still like to play like a puppy. I live with a lot of dogs right now. I would love to be the leader of the pack, but I know that I need to wait my turn. I live with cats too, I like to chase them so we can play but they are not happy to do that.I learn something every day, so I am pretty good with basic commands especially if it leads to a treat. I like to walk on a leash, but I pull sometimes when I see something interesting. I am very affectionate and want to give kisses to everyone. I have not lived with kids and frankly, they kind of scare me. But toys are my thing, I love them all.I spend most of my days outside so you may need to work with me for potty breaks. Once I know where to go, I will go there every time.I haven’t been to the beach yet, but I think I would love it. Car rides are lots of fun too.If it sounds like I would fit into your family, then fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love, Buddy To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
HI - I'M ZOE! I'm a beautiful and shy 2-year-old female Border Collie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I was impounded as a stray. I am a shy and timid girl, but once I warm up to you I will be your best friend. I would do best with an active person or people who can take me for walks, hikes, beach outings and other adventures. I weigh only 43 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Molly is almost 2 years old & with me since 3 months old. She has Border Collie activity with the Rottweiler stubborn so needs a strong owner. She's super loyal & doesn't like to leave my side but will adjust to a new family w/ little time. She's super smart & was house trained in two days as a pup plus basic commands. She herds naturally & lives for a ball catch and never loses enthusiasm. She gets along famously with her adopted sister, a Lab 6 mo younger. Unfortunately I need to re-home her because I just can't keep up w/her. She needs a yard or farm to troll and keep an eye on but lives inside the house with us. She loves her crate & her in/out schedule and she doesn't mind spending a few hours at night or couple hours during the day in it. Overall she is a wonderful obedient girl who wants to love & please her person. Now the caution. She had a bad experience at the dog park & now is dog and ppl reactive to strangers beyond the family and property but her training is going well.
