Story
They are quite the dynamic duo. Lolo is big sister and protector - of both her human family and her brother Casey. And Casey is the goofball who wants nothing more than to play and give kisses. They are brother and sister and we want them adopted together. They love to spend their time romping in the yard and taking leisurely walks around the ranch. These beautiful and loyal companions would make great additions to an active family. They are fully vaccinated, neutered and spayed, and microchipped for life. They can be transported anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1939561##

Story
Molly is almost 2 years old & with me since 3 months old. She has Border Collie activity with the Rottweiler stubborn so needs a strong owner. She's super loyal & doesn't like to leave my side but will adjust to a new family w/ little time. She's super smart & was house trained in two days as a pup plus basic commands. She herds naturally & lives for a ball catch and never loses enthusiasm. She gets along famously with her adopted sister, a Lab 6 mo younger. Unfortunately I need to re-home her because I just can't keep up w/her. She needs a yard or farm to troll and keep an eye on but lives inside the house with us. She loves her crate & her in/out schedule and she doesn't mind spending a few hours at night or couple hours during the day in it. Overall she is a wonderful obedient girl who wants to love & please her person. Now the caution. She had a bad experience at the dog park & now is dog and ppl reactive to strangers beyond the family and property but her training is going well.

Story
Phoenix is the silliest boy! This 18 mo old, 50lb boy loves to spend his days running around with his friends and twirling and dancing for treats when it’s time to come inside. He is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people so a socially active home would be ideal. He also is wonderful with dogs of all sizes so he’d love to have a playmate in the home, but it’s not required. He is an active boy so if he does not have another dog to run and wrestle with, his people will need to make sure he has plenty of activity every day. And then he’s ready to settle down and cuddle. Although Phoenix does need more training, he is a very smart boy and learns quickly. He is extremely food motivated so lots of training games will be fun. One of his front feet was injured when he was a young puppy so no concrete running for this boy. But lots of walking and hiking would be great! He is fully crate trained and with just a little more help to understand the routine, he’ll be fully house trained in no time. He must have a 5ft or higher securely fenced yard. He has not been tested with cats so no kitties please. Kids must be over 10yrs old

Story
Meet Ziggy, a beautiful and very sweet young border collie/spaniel mix that was found abandoned along with his sister, Zoe, at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Ziggy and Zoe had obviously belonged to someone, they were very scared but wanted badly to connect with humans. Several people in the neighborhood pitched in and made sure these 2 had food and water and shade until they could be rescued. Although very scared at first and a bit shy, Ziggy soon realized he loves humans and is very friendly and loving once he gets to know you. He loves to go on walks, is good on leash, housebroken and very affectionate. Not reactive at all towards other dogs on his walks, but can get a bit anxious and needs someone who can help him continue to build his confidence. He would do well with another dog buddy who can help show him the way, or just a calm human who can take him on walks and give him all the love he deserves. He's very athletic and would excel at agility.

These pups are in Gig Harbor, Washington too!

Story
Dog Name: Fossi (aks Foss-Foss, Foster, Mr. Man) Age: Approx 3-4 years old Gender: Male Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer  Good with dogs? Yes, very! see notes Good with cats? No.  Good with kids? Unknown, not recommended What is Fossi's rescue story? The adorable Fossi is a survivor! He was saved from the euthanasia list in New Mexico in April 2023 and arrived in WA at the end of September 2023. In June of 2024, Fossi had a bullet removed from his neck. The surgeon chose to leave the second bullet in his jaw area, since his body is not rejecting it. His future adopters will understand that his challenges are a result of humans failing him. Temperment/Personality: He is extremely curious, smart, and a total goofball. He is a wonderful companion and wants to be a part of everything you do...whether that's running, cooking, going on errands in the car (he is the cutest sight in your sideview mirror), or cuddling and napping. While he is a combination of two very active breeds, he can read the room and knows when it's time to hang out and relax! Fossi is AMAZING with other doggoes. The owner of the boarding facility he stays at loves that he is "her go-to dog who can be introduced to and play with any of the other dogs!" He would really love another pup in his forever home to show him the ropes. His best friends include his ten-pound foster sister, a mini dachshund, and our former foster, a 60-pound heeler/pittie mix. What does Fossi's ideal home look like? Fossi deserves a patient forever family or person who is comfortable taking people introductions slowly. While his foster dad immediately gained his trust, some men are scary to Fossi upon first meeting. If you are willing to give him the time he deserves to learn to trust you, you will be rewarded with the most loving, loyal best friend. He has great leash manners and LOVES going for walks and runs. His best life is with someone who works from home, is home often and can provide him with lots of mental and physical stimulation, or someone who is willing to take him on all their travels! He would thrive with one or more dog siblings. Fossi is currently working with his fosters and Zoom Room Tacoma on introductions to new people and desensitizing him to dogs who are on-leash. Kids are currently unknown and not recommended. Apply to meet this silly, resilient, affectionate ACD mix. Adoption fee $350 Fossi's adoption fee will come with two paid training session to get him and his new family off on the best start! www.northwestwagrescue.org ##1695137##

Story
Trinks was saved from an overcrowded high kill shelter in Roswell, NM. She is approx 1 year 2 months old.  Dog Name: Trinks Good with dogs? Will need slow very careful introductions Good with kids? Unknown  Good with cats? Yes, doesn’t seem to pay much attention to my cat unless my cat gets her attention and tries to play with her.  Has experience on a leash? No, we’re working on leash training but she pulls a lot. Carrying high value treats with us to help with training has been working out well but she still cares more about bunnies than the treats. We take walks in the morning, lunch time if not too hot and in the evening.  Potty trained? Yes  Crate trained? Yes, Trinks is very comfortable in her crate and it’s her safe space. She doesn’t mind one bit hanging out in her crate while we are gone.  Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? Crate Where does the dog sleep? Crate  What does the dog eat? She is currently eating open nature turkey formula (with grains). She loves freeze dried beef liver and freeze dried duck treats the most.  Temperament/Personality: she is extremely energetic and loves to carry toys around the house. She loves people and has been super friendly with everyone she has met and immediately wants to be pet by them.  What does the dog's ideal home look like? Ideally she will live in a house with a huge yard so she can run non stop. She does laps like crazy in our yard and has never ending energy. We have been going on three walks a day and she still has enough energy to run in the backyard afterwards. She will need very active owners. She is not a lazy couch potato type of dog. From what I’ve seen of her interacting with other dogs, she would probably do best in a home with no other dogs or maybe a dog her size or smaller. She seems to be very intimidated by bigger dogs.  What are the dog's strengths? Loves to play and very good with people.  What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? She has extremely high prey drive, training on leash walking has been difficult because she constantly wants to chase birds, rabbits, and squirrels. She is also selectively dog reactive, when we’re out walking some dogs she starts growling at and others she ignores. She seems to be most reactive towards dogs bigger than her.  If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Some crazy Diva type   If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say?  I love outdoor adventures and wish I could spend all day walking running or hiking around. I need activities to put my mind to work and have a hard time staying still for too long.  Beach or Mountains? Mountains, Trinks would make a great hiking companion. She loves sniffing trees and plants and would probably do great on trails once she is better behaved on a leash.  Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? She loves to rip up toys but we noticed she swallows some of the pieces so we have been giving her Kongs and she loves chewing on those and getting treats out of them.  Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share many outdoor adventures.” What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Everything! Trinks has not met a treat she did not like. She is extremely food motivated. Adoption $500 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2065634##
