Apollo is a 2 year old very loving dog.  He is a great all around dog. Apollo listens to to commands such as sit and stay. He is exceptionable on a leash. He is a pleasure as a walking companion. He loves anything that involves being active such as walking, running, and playing in the yard. He also likes to hang out on the couch and snuggle. Apollo can be dog selective. He loves children but isn't crazy about cats. He is crate trained and housebroken. His favorite part of the day is going for a walk. A yard is highly desirable for him. Story
Claire Claire is a 2-month-old Border Collie and Shepherd mix with a playful personality and the sweetest little face. Rescued in Yakima after being abandoned in a box, Claire hasn’t let her rough start dim her sunny disposition. She’s great with people and other dogs, spreading joy wherever she goes with her happy, curious spirit. Like her sister, Claire has an umbilical hernia, but our vet has given the all-clear to wait until her spay to fix it. This resilient little pup is ready to find a loving home where she can grow, play, and become a cherished member of the family. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate companion, Claire might just be your perfect match!

Story
Jenny Jenny is an adorable 2-month-old Border Collie and Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her floppy puppy ears. Rescued in Yakima after being found in a box left behind, she’s already proving to be a survivor with an incredibly sweet disposition. Jenny adores people and other dogs, greeting everyone with wagging tail enthusiasm and puppy kisses. She has an umbilical hernia, but don’t worry—our vet has assured us it’s nothing urgent and can easily be addressed during her spay. Jenny’s gentle nature, intelligence, and love of companionship make her the perfect pup for a family ready to give her the love and care she deserves.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Tumwater, WA CHANCE is a likely Shepherd mix…about 2 yrs old, 35#s. He has been raised in an apartment but he is definitely a dog with energy. He might do BEST with a home with a yard, exercise, children, and lots of play. Or an active single our couple that likes hiking, boating, swimming. Maybe if you work away from home, a dog walker some days and doggie day care twice week? He is learning the basics…leash training, sit, stay. He is not good with cats at this point. Chance hasn’t experienced many of the common daily things but he has a good personality and likes people… especially if they have treats. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions you can email us and if you would like a call give us good times to return the call. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Meet Rown🖤 He was found on the street. He had swallowed stones and screws, requiring emergency surgery. He also had an injury on his leg from his difficult life on the streets, but after surgery, he’s now in recovery. * With People: Loves people so much! Despite having a hard time in the past with accidents and struggles, he is endlessly affectionate and loves being around people. * With Dogs: Is full of energy and enjoys playing with other dogs. Is very playful and always approaches first to initiate play. * With Cats: Is curious and always watches them when they pass by. * Separation Anxiety: Currently resides with other dogs at the shelter, so it’s hard to determine. Shows mild signs of separation anxiety when alone. * Potty Training: Is well-trained to go potty both indoors and outdoors. * Hygiene: Is still getting used to baths. Resists at first but cooperates once he’s in the bath. Is also good with drying, brushing, and nail trimming, though he might try to run initially but stays calm during the process. * Walks: Loves walks so much that he sometimes pulls on the leash when he gets excited, but it’s not severe and can be managed easily. * Car Sickness: Rides well without any signs of motion sickness. * Has mastered several commands such as “sit” and “paw ” about 80% of the time. * Sometimes barks at external noises or in excitement when greeting people because he loves them so much. ** Health Condition : Recovering from ankle surgery; he’s walking better but may need ongoing rehabilitation.
