Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Hagerstown, Linthicum Heights, or another location close to you. Jack's easy-going personality makes him a pleasure to be around, and he gets along well with other dogs. His gentle nature and friendly attitude make him the perfect addition to any family. Despite his age, Jack still has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to open their heart and home to him. Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4 year old Pitbull Lab (?) mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. Because I’m such a good boy, I’m allowed in the house and have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. You can hold the TV remote for us. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever with some training. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. Fortunately, my past dog life doesn’t include any physical abuse so I’m not afraid of people or other animals. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire so I wouldn’t be a good hunting dog. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Recently I was tricked into getting “tutored” and woke up with my bubbles missing. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours! Story
Arbor is from a breeder she has been in one home since 8wks of age. She is 3yrs old and about 55lbs. She will need an experienced adopter due to the fact she gets nervous/scared of new people. It will take an adopter with patience until she gets comfortable with her new situation. She currently lives with 2 female adult mastiffs, an elderly male boxer and a 3yr old female boxer(whom she is not getting along with). She is very ball and treat driven. She knows the commands sit, shake, down, off, kennel and drop it. She knows the command come but has selective hearing with that word. She is crate trained and left in one when owner leaves the house. She is allowed on furniture and sleeps in owners bed.

Story
Aries was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer keep him due to landlord issues. He is around a year old and weighs 53 pounds. Aries needed some time to adjust to shelter life but has come out of his shell and enjoys treats and going on walks! He is a shy at first with new people, but treats are the key to his heart! Aires knows sit but will need some work on other commands. He is a sweet guy that would love to have a second chance at finding a loving forever home! Aries has lived with children but may be too much for small children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff. Aries has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13591Hi I am Betty Boop - I am a 53 pound boxer/terrier mix, with a beautiful caramel short coat.I LOVE KIDS! I am fantastic with kids and get along well with the 2 kids in my foster home.I would like you to know that:- I LOVE riding in the car- I am crate and house-trained, but I don't love the crate- I know "sit" and "down" and "NO" and "Paw", "Spin Around", "down" "stay" and "Come"- I LOVE being outside and I am a brisk walker. I do get excited when I see rabbits or squirrels- Give me a nylabone to chew on and I am happy- I am mainly a quiet couch potato but I do sometimes like to play.- I am not a barker inside but I do like to bark when I am outside- I am very treat motivated and will be easy to train, I am SMART!-I am super sweet, wag a lot and will give kisses to anyone who wants them.

Story
Alpha has been homed with my family as a favor for a friend for 3 months now, he is very energetic and has lots of love to give. Previous owner has been made aware and is no longer willing to take back. Alpha is part of our family but unfortunately we are unable to continue to keep and provide him with enough time, attention & space for proper care. Alpha howls at the sound of sirens but with some cuddles is able to keep calm. Thinks he is a lap dog and will nap with you. Loves hugs & kisses, will get jealous if does not receive. As searching for a new loving family. Alpha would prefer a big fenced yard, lots of toys (his favorite are balls (chuckit! can be found in Petco)) and humans that are patient and will not tire of playing with him. If interested please contact me, $100 adoption fee as I am not sure if his vaccinations are up to date from previous owner.

Pax came to us from a multiple-dog family, so he is good with other dogs. He's also great with the children in his foster home. He's looking for a forever home . . . how about yours? He is food motivated and an enthusiastic student when training. He rides comfortably in a car, is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He has been surrounded by a loving foster family but his public exposure has been limited. Obedience classes would be great once he's comfortable in a new environment. They would reinforce the training he's had, and would widen his world, showing him unknown humans are a source of positive attention and rewards.
