What we know about Gus: Great with dogs Great with kids (has lived with kids and another dog previously) Awesome temperament Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on. Woo and sibling, Wiggy found theirselves at an overcrowded shelters. These poor puppies had appeared to experience so much neglect at just 5 weeks. They have so much hair loss, huge bellies, and some possible old wounds. We have no idea what happened to their momma. We got a call from our partner shelter needing help to get them out of the shelter asap. Woo is a 5-6 week old, male, weighing at about 4 lbs. As a young puppy, he's looking for a family with plenty of time and patience to help show him everything a young puppy needs to know. He is still very young and working on house training, crate training, as well as basic puppy manners. Woo will not be available for update until she is 8 weeks old, applications are still welcomed! Story

We have had Aspen for 5 years. He is absolutely wonderful with my kids, and normally is a sweet, gentle dog. However he is constantly trying to get out the front door to run. We have a smaller yard and I think it just isn’t enough space for him. He is also very aggressive with other dogs he doesn’t know, so when he gets out it is concerning because we don’t want him to run into another dog. However we do have another dog who he gets along with great, it is just dogs he doesn’t know that he has behavioral problems with. He was not well socialized so gets aggressive. However he is the absolute sweetest dog around our family because he knows us. Because of the constant concern of him darting out of the house if one of the kids leaves the door open we have had to confine him to small areas of the house and yard. We are looking for a home for him that can offer the space and time he needs and deserves and are picky to make sure he goes to the right home.
