Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs around 75 pounds. Gypsy has been with us for 3 years, and we don't know why she has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog we have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with older children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. To emphasize...although Gypsy generally gets along with all dogs (she currently lives in a home with 14 other dogs both large and small and there are no problems), She either needs to be the only dog in the house or only paired with one other large male dog. Gypsy has been with the rescue for 3 years and a change will be scary. She needs an experienced adopter who is patient understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to get comfortable in a new home. She is a great dog for a single person or couple. Any children should be over 10 years of age. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several scheduled stops in Ohio - including but not limited to - Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron OH Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. Story
Meet Goldie! Goldie is 1-2 year old Boxer mix who was found roaming the streets in Columbus. Luckily, she found a wonderful family to take her in and reached out to PetPromise to help find her forever family. Goldie loves to play with other dogs, toys and cuddle. She is learning to love crate time and is currently working on house training. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She quickly learned how to “sit” and we have no doubt she can learn many more tricks. She would do well in an active home with another active dog to play with. She is working on potty training and doing well with consistent positive reinforcement. She is very treat motivated and learning very quickly. She has already mastered sit! Goldie is also working on her crate training. She is doing excellent and is great with other dogs! She will ready for obedience classes when she is adopted. We HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes. If you live an active lifestyle and are ready to bring this adorable girl into you home, please apply to meet her at PetPromise.org Please fill out an adoption application at PetPromise.org We only adopt out in Columbus, Ohio area only. Story
Connie is quite the underdog. Living chained to a trailer and sleeping in deep mud, Connie produced litter after litter of puppies while never receiving any vet care whatsoever. The family finally agreed to surrender her and her only surviving pup (who was living in a small crate outdoors, and has now been adopted).Connie came to us emaciated and positive for several internal parasites, including heartworm and tick diseases. After several months of vet care, Connie is now heartworm free!!!Everyone at the vet loves Connie and her happy personality. Connie is good with other dogs but often intimidates dogs with her strong personality until they get to know her.Connie is approximately 45 pounds. She does have 'weak knees' which cause her to walk with stiff back legs on occasion. This is managed with oral medication as needed for pain. In general, Connie gets around really well and loves going on leash walks.Connie was on restricted exercise while going through her heartworm treatment and can't wait to run and play again!Apply for Connie at ricopetrecovery.org Her adoption fee is $250.

This beautiful girl is Cocoa. Cocoa is 4 yrs old and has a pure velvet coat. She is very smart and PERFECTLY house trained. She has not had any accidents, has no desire to get on furniture, she is curious, but not at all destructive. She is also a very gentle dog that loves her toys, but does not destroy them. She can sit and give you her paw like a champ. Cocoa would love an active family that would take her for car rides, hikes and runs. She is an athletic girl that excels at ZOOMIES and TWIRLS. Cocoa needs some leash work and would need slow introductions to new dogs. Please consider fostering or fostering to adopt Cocoa so she can continue her great progress! Ricopetrecovery.org/help.

Story
Luna is still hanging with us while she waits for her forever home. She is a happy, friendly, and energetic puppy that LOVES everyone. Luna has a reported DOB of 6.28.24 and was surrendered by her owners when they were financially unable to treat her for Parvo. Luna was a rock star with her parvo treatment and has been parvo free for over a month and is up to date on all shots. Luna has scheduled potty breaks without accidents inside and potties as soon as she is outside. She picked up the command for sit in no time and will next be working on down and stay. Luna keeps her crate tidy while she sleeps quietly at night. This love bug watches her foster mom in the evening so that she is the first on her lap and will quickly go to sleep and has done this every night since arriving. Luna currently resides with semi-retired seniors and 3 older dogs. This pup will be a lovely addition to any active family.Apply to meet Luna at ricopetrecovery.org. He has bursts of energy during playtime but is just as happy to curl up for a nap in your lap. Comet is ready to find a loving forever family who will give him all the care and cuddles he deserves. Meet Vixen, an adorable 12-week-old pocket pittie mix who will grow to be small to mid-sized. This sweet pup is bursting with energy but calms down quickly and loves to snuggle. She’s mostly housebroken, though she’s still mastering making it to the door on time in a new environment. Vixen is crate-trained and hasn’t had any accidents there, and her treat-driven, eager-to-please personality makes her a joy to train. Vixen is a gentle, passive pup who enjoys following her bigger siblings around and adores her foster mom most of all. She’s currently teething but does well as long as she has something appropriate to chew. Vixen would thrive in a home with or without another dog and would do best with slightly older kids who understand her puppy stage.
