Bixby is a sweet dog that I adopted from a shelter several years ago. He is approximately 5 years old and around 65 lbs. I am not able to care for Bixby and exercise him the way he needs on walks. His main behavior issue is pulling on walks and lunging- although he is generally friendly with other dogs. I don't have the right home for a large dog and physically can not handle him. I’m looking to rehome asap.

Trixx came from a rural shelter with little chance of finding a home. She is a young girl with lots of love to give. She likes to go on walks, loves her chew toys, is housebroken and crate trained. She is 1 year old and full grown at 35 pounds. She is in foster with cats and when they swat her she knows to leave them alone. She likes to play with the big dogs but plays a bit too rough for smaller dogs or timid cats. He landed in the Scioto County Dog Shelter.When we learned what a good boy he was, we pulled him to find his forever home. Sheriff is an amazing dog. he is house trained, great with other dogs, is learning how to play with toys and loves the little humans in his house. Connie is quite the underdog. Living chained to a trailer and sleeping in deep mud, Connie produced litter after litter of puppies while never receiving any vet care whatsoever. The family finally agreed to surrender her and her only surviving pup (who was living in a small crate outdoors, and has now been adopted).Connie came to us emaciated and positive for several internal parasites, including heartworm and tick diseases. After several months of vet care, Connie is now heartworm free!!!Everyone at the vet loves Connie and her happy personality. Connie is good with other dogs but often intimidates dogs with her strong personality until they get to know her.Connie is approximately 45 pounds. She does have 'weak knees' which cause her to walk with stiff back legs on occasion. This is managed with oral medication as needed for pain. This silly boy takes a second to warm up, but once he checks you out, get ready for a full-body hug!!Besides giving warm hugs, Goofy likes to do the zoomies alone or with a canine partner.We are fairly certain Goofy is The Poky Little Puppy all grown up. He has one pace and doesnt get in a hurry for anything. He keeps his nose to the ground except when he spies a butterfly or dragonfly. He does jump up on you when he gets excited.Goofy is 8-9 months old, fully-vaccinated, and good with kids, dogs, & cats! Hes atoubf 50 pounds but doesnt seem that big at all! This little Lady is looking for a home!Lady was a resident stray who found herself in urgent need of help when the family that was feeding her got evicted. Lady came to us with five sick little 2-week-old puppies (we were told three had already died). Over the next month we would lose three more puppies :( Our vets believe Lady was so unhealthy and the conditions where she lived were so poor that the puppies didnt get a good start to life.It has taken several weeks to help Lady gain weight. We are finally seeing the shine to come back in her coat.Lady is a gentle dog who is good and submissive with other dogs. Lady loves kids and does fine with cats.House-training has been a struggleshe didnt have accidents when crated through the night with her puppies, but once she started weaning and was left out at night, she started having accidents.Life has not been kind to Lady and we are offering her some much-needed grace. Lady is under 30 pounds, and estimated to be 2-3 years old.Lady can be trusted not to chew when left alone. She is quiet and doesnt bark often. Occasionally a loud noise will startle her and she will hide under or behind the nearest piece of furniture until called out gently. She is a pro at using stairs and walks well on a leash.Ladys ideal home would be a small family with older kids who take her for walks and read her bedtime stories.
