Max has never had a belly rub he didn’t like! He also enjoys lounging in the sun, gently playing with his stuffies, and daily walks (but isn’t interested in being anyone’s running buddy- we feel ya Max!) Car rides are his favorite- especially when he gets to ride shotgun! Max has a silly personality that really shines once you get to know him! While Max takes correction well, he’ll require an adopter who will let him know he’s not the boss. Give him an inch, and he’ll take a foot ( can you blame him though?!) Max is extremely food motivated and will never turned down a meal or treat. He will even dance for his dinner! He is currently being fostered by a family with two female resident dogs, a cat (who he loves and secretly has a crush on), and two older kiddos (8 and 12 years old). Since tiny humans can be super unpredictable, we recommend older kids for Max. A meet-and -greet is required if you already have pups – Max loves all the attention! Meet Bubs! This sweet boy is about 2-years old and weighs in at around 44 pounds. He is THE sweetest guy with so much love to give! Bubs enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home (don’t know how he is with cats), and he picks up routines quickly! He already knows how to sit and is house-trained. Bubs does incredibly well in his crate and rarely barks at all. He absolutely loves to be around people and is an expert cuddler. Meet Lacy! She is an approximately 10 year old, female, Boxer mix. She was found on 05/30/2024 on Austin Corners in Rockwall County and brought to the shelter on 06/04/2024. She is now looking for her furr ever home! She is a sweet gal who is ready to settle down and enjoy her golden years. She loves to love and enjoys long naps. She enjoys long walks and is peanut butter's number one fan! She has made several friends since her arrival but a meet and greet is encouraged if you have another dog in the home. Lacy's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and is heartworm negative! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. Star came to us along with her litter of pups from an old man's house where she got very little attention much less food. He said she was a stray but was not able to care for her properly, thus a litter of unwanted pups! A pizza delivery guy alerted us to her plight and we came to help. She is very enthusiastic and active and loves to run! After she came to the rescue, she lived with Luke a 5 months old pup for a while and they loved to run and play. He has now been adopted. She is a great size- about 45 lbs and could be a great running partner. We think she could also be a great couch potato given some time. Her breed is a little unknown. She is small for a Boxer so we are thinking something smaller might be mixed in- maybe JR Terrier? We hope you will consider adding STAR to your family soon. Dani is believed to be a female boxer mix (or other breed mix) around 1.5 years of age. She is very sweet and affectionate, loves people and attention, loves to play with chewable toys, and loves bouncing around in the back yard (even in the heat) chasing imaginary creatures! She is a strong girl weighing around 50 pounds. She needs somebody that is patient and can handle her strength and youthful energy. Fate intervened to rescue her from a life as an unwanted street dog. She was recently rescued as a stray dog by Garland Animal Services from a Motel 6 on Interstate 30 in Garland. And then adopted by my wife and I on July 6, 2024. However, she and our other dog were aggressive toward each other and have to be separated and kept in separate crates. So she needs a new forever home. I would recommend her being an only dog in a home without small children. She would make a great buddy for either an adult family or a single adult. She is already spayed, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated.
