Story
Hi! I'm Bob! I'm an approximately 11 month old, male, Pit/Chihuahua mix who weighs about 35lbs. I was found on Goliad in Rockwall on 10/15/2024 and never reclaimed. I am full of puppy love and puppy energy to match! I am looking for a family who has time to train me to be the best family pet I can be. Because of my energy, I am recommended in a home with kids 5 years old and up. I am playful and bouncy and full of love! I am crate trained and have the potential to be house trained quickly. I walk well on a leash but will need some training in minor things like not jumping. I love to play fetch! I could play fetch for HOURS if you let me. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 146 days as of 03/10/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my basic boosters and rabies vaccine and am heartworm negative! I am now accepting applications for adoption and hope to get the opportunity to meet you soon! To submit your adoption application please go to https://rockwalladoptions.com/adopt.../adoption-application/. Story
Hi! My name is Duchess. I am a 1 year old Pit/Lab mix female that weighs about 54 Lbs. My previous family had to travel out of the country to help with a sick family member and unfortunately, ended up having to stay a lot longer than originally planned. Sadly, they felt it best to surrender me to the shelter where I can hopefully find a new family. I am a sweet but shy girl. Especially in new situations and surroundings. Even though I am shy, if you sit with me for a bit, I do warm up quickly and I enjoy getting pets and affection. Especially belly rubs! I am not suggested with younger children as they tend to make me anxious but older kids are fine. If you have another dog in the home, I would love to meet them prior to adoption to ensure we get along. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative. Apply to adopt online at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Story
Meet Dennis! Dennis was originally rescued from a homeless man who trying to sell him in front of a Walmart. 2 Good Samaritans stepped up to help because Dennis, only 6 weeks old at the time, was about to have a heat stroke. They were able to convince the homeless man to allow them to take him and give him the medical attention he needed. We placed Dennis into a loving home. Everything was going lovely for months....until his dad was diagnosed with cancer. Because of the amount of treatment of hospitalization that his dad would require for the next several months/up to a year….he decided to surrender Dennis back to our rescue so that we can find him an awesome, active home…which Dennis desperately needs. He is a big puppy with big puppy energy. A typical wiggly pitty. Dennis is great with dogs and cats, just needs a proper introduction. He does better with female dogs. He is a wonderful pup that had a rough start at life! If Dennis tugs at your heart strings, please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call.

Story
Good old Ford! He was found on the side of the road in a rural area with his siblings. His previous family couldn't even be bothered to take them to the shelter...inside left them to fend for themselves on the side of the road. You would never know that he had a rough start to life with all of the love that he has to give. That's the wonderful thing about pups, the forgive and forget. This is the goofball of the group, but also the alpha male and protector, yet cuddle bug all rolled into one. Will be a great pal for an active outdoorsy young boy, or if someone wants a dog to just pal around on the ranch, he’s your guy. If you're interested in meeting Ford, please fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a call/Meet and Greet!

Story
This is Sophie “ the sniffer”. Her and her siblings were dumped on the side of the road in a rural area to fend for themselves. You would never know that she had a rough little start to life, because she is all love! She loves exploring and always has her nose to the ground, she is the biggest cuddle bug of the group. Active energy when all four on the ground, but as soon as you pick her up, she turns to mush and just wants to be loved on. She is very jumpy at times, like most puppies, so we would prefer kids to be a little older I think household. She would make a great addition to anyways family. All puppies will be fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered prior to finalizing adoptions. If you're looking for a loving adventurous pup to join your crew...look for further. Please fill out an adoption application.
