Story
𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐄 is available for adoption and is looking for his forever family! Hi my name is 𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐄 👋 Life has not always been easy for me, but I am a happy and optimistic guy and feel like life is on the upswing for me. I was found as a stray wandering a dirt road by myself in rural Georgia and was brought to the local animal shelter. I was severely underweight and malnourished. The nice people at the shelter fed me and I saw their veterinarian and they got me on the right track to gaining weight and feeling better. I gained 5 lbs in a few days, but I became mentally shut down in the shelter and I was broken. Since coming to Wisconsin and living in a foster home for a short time, I am a completely different dog than what I was in the shelter. I am happy, playful, and love affection, and of course treats!! Lots of boxer personality! Since I was starving for a part of my life, I was a little food aggressive at the shelter and for the first few days in my foster home, but have since gotten over it. I am fostered with 4 other dogs and 2 cats and have not had any issues with the food stuff. I am learning that I will always be fed and don't have to worry about where my next meal will come from. I am getting the hang of the potty training thing, am great in the crate during the day and at night, I am almost off leash in the back yard. I know sit and am working on down and stay. I am working on my leash manners, but don't pull that much. I have never had anyone put effort into training or caring for me before, so I am learning lots about how to behave. I don't jump, I am well behaved in the house, catching on to the potty training thing, and and am quiet in my crate at night and when I am home alone. I love playing with my foster dog siblings and am fine with the cats. Every day my foster parents are amazed at the dog I am becoming! All I needed was someone to care and put a little TLC into me and I will be the best dog for my people! I am a super sweet boy and am worth it! Story
Meet Peaches (formerly known as Gumball) Peaches was found as a stray in Georgia and ended up at the kill shelter for a short time. She was luckily brought to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 10/26/24 and has been in a foster home since then. She is a super sweet and energetic little lady! She is smart and knows how to sit and is very willing to learn more. She loves her foster dog siblings and likes to play and snuggle with them. She is also super sweet with her humans and likes to just follow you around or snuggle on the couch. She would be a good adventure dog for someone who likes hiking or camping. She is a petite lady at only 35 lbs and fits perfectly for car rides or taking naps on the couch. She was recently adopted and was chasing the cats in the house so it did not work out. From now on we will only consider cat free homes for her unfortunately! Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 11/17/24 Dog Name: Peter Sex: Male Neuter Status: Neutered Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 56 lbs Adoption Fee: $300 Description: Hi! They call me Peter and I am looking for my furever home! I am quite quiet, but when I do talk, it is to respond to my very favorite question - 'Do you want to go outside?' I love going for walks and looking at all there is to see. Sometimes it is a bird or a cat or even deer. Then the next time I get to go out, I will be on the lookout for them. I enjoy stretching my legs by going for walks and runs. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I like to chew on and fetch a braided rope and squeaky toys. Bones are fun too as long as there is something yummy in them. I sit for my supper and when you hook the leash onto my harness. I take treats nicely and I don't react to the doorbell. I like other dogs and as long as you are watching me, I am fine with an easy tempered cat. I am a people lover! Once I warm up to a new person, I will be your sidekick, couch snuggler, and foot warmer if you let me on your bed. Who wouldn't want that? This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! I am searching for my family! Could that be with you?        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 20, 2025, 7:43 pm
