We adopted Kylo in October of 2017, at the age of 1.5. He immediately showed signs of aggression and anxiety however, he quickly grew to trust us and turned into such a snuggle bug! We have loved every minute with Kylo. Unfortunatley, when my wife and I had a baby, he became grouchy and started growling at our son and posturing as thought to protect my wife from our baby. When our baby is in bed or Kylo has 1:1 time, he is still the sweet boy we know him to be. He does struggle with nail clippings, but we’ve been able to handle this with an experienced groomer. He does not like his ears or paws touched. He has done well with cats, goats, and chickens but has not been successful with other dogs. He does exhibit food aggression. If you listen to Kylo’s cues and respect his boundaries, he is an absolute honey!

Meet Peaches (formerly known as Gumball) Peaches was found as a stray in Georgia and ended up at the kill shelter for a short time. She was luckily brought to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 10/26/24 and has been in a foster home since then. She is a super sweet and energetic little lady! She is smart and knows how to sit and is very willing to learn more. She loves her foster dog siblings and likes to play and snuggle with them. She is also super sweet with her humans and likes to just follow you around or snuggle on the couch. She would be a good adventure dog for someone who likes hiking or camping. She is a petite lady at only 35 lbs and fits perfectly for car rides or taking naps on the couch. She was recently adopted and was chasing the cats in the house so it did not work out. From now on we will only consider cat free homes for her unfortunately! Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Hey ! It's a pleasure to me you. We hope you like us more than our former people did. We didn't do anything wrong and neither did our poor momma who is still with that family, sadly. We just heard a whole lot of yelling and off they went. My mom didn't get fixed so it's going to happen again, and it makes me so sad! My temporary foster mom and all the people at the shelter are very sad for our mom and dad right now. Although we are very sweet, we were dumped at a kill shelter who has way too many dogs.Please fix your fur babies. If you really loved us, you would.We are just weeeee babies and your blank slate to train us to be super swell doggos! We love kisses and snuggles and playing dress up since it's cold outside a sweater is kinda nice!We are furever pets and we come with up to datevaccines,dewormer, Bordatella vaccine, and microchip for life!We are too young to be ALTERED but have no fear. This is included in our adoption fee of $550. You must sign an iron clad contract that this will be done by our PARTICIPATING RESCUE VETS. If you choose your vet we will reimburse you $100 dollars upon receipt, but this must be done by the age required in our contract.
