Story
Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Is it because he isn't as pretty as some other dogs? It certainly isn't because of his behavior. Journey is waiting to have a home of his own with people who will provide him with the love and attention he deserves. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. Journey's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. Story
Howdy Do. My name is Gunnar. I just have to be the softest sweetest lovingest boy you have ever met. I am a Black Mouth Cur. I just love being around you, riding in the car, hanging out in the yard watching the cars go by or snuggled next to you while we watch a movie. If given the opportunity, I would love to snuggle in bed with you. My foster parents keep saying they just do not understand why I was dumped. I was found wandering out in the country up a nice lady's driveway. Immediately I could tell how kind she was. We hit it off immediately. But, I am still a puppy with tons of energy and not overly familiar with etiquette. So, the lady's daughter called the rescue I am with. The daughter knows the rescue will spoil me rotten while I wait to get adopted. My ideal family is one who likes the outdoors (running, hiking, camping, ball games, yard work), and loves to spend the day watching movies if the weather isn't cooperating. Please fill out an application and deposit to begin my journey to you furever. Gunnar Male Neutered Breed: Black Mouth Cur Age 7 months Weight 47 Great with people, children, dogs/ puppies, and/ or cats/ kittens. Adoption Donation $495

Story
Benji is up for adoption in TX only! Benji is a 1-year-old, 25-pound Red Heeler/Carolina mix who’s likely full-grown and ready to find his forever home. This handsome boy has a stunning red coat and an even more beautiful personality. While he may be a little timid at first, it doesn’t take long for his playful and affectionate side to shine through. Benji is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and humans. He’s incredibly sweet and has a natural charm that makes him a joy to be around. He’s also a quick learner! Benji is fully potty trained (not a single accident!) and picked up the “sit” command in just a couple of days. Though he still has some puppy energy, Benji is well on his way to becoming the perfect companion. He loves to play but might chew on things if left alone too long, so he’ll need some monitoring as he continues to learn. Long car rides aren’t ideal for Benji since he can get car sick, but he’s more than happy to join you on shorter adventures. Benji is a great and easygoing dog who would thrive in a loving home with someone who can give him the time and attention he deserves. Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Benji can’t wait to meet you! To apply directly for Benji click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-590 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Penny is up for adoption! Penny is an adorable puppy born on November 23rd, alongside her 9 siblings, to the sweetest mama, Grace. Grace, a Carolina/Whippet mix, who has passed down her gentle and loving nature to Penny. She has a slight black tip on her tail and white socks on her feet which distinguishes her from her siblings. While we don’t know who dad was, we anticipate Penny and her siblings will grow into medium to large-sized dogs. Penny can be adopted 1/24 in Texas and February for out of state transport. Born in our care, Penny has been surrounded by love and attention from the very beginning. She’s playful and full of puppy charm, ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever home. Penny is very curious and likes to explore new spaces. While very independent, Penny likes snuggling for a nap and longs to be with her humans getting all the attention she can. She sleeps in a crate at night and is working on potty training. With frequent potty breaks during the day, she rarely has accidents in the house. She loves being outside picking up sticks to chew on, or bounding through the grass, tumbling and wrestling with her brother, Penny’s loving and spirited personality shines through. Penny is looking for a family who will help her grow into the amazing dog she’s destined to be. Could that be you? To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
