Story
Luna is around 6years old. She was a rescue cat and has no front claws. She is super affectionate, quite talkative, and loves to cuddle. Super soft fur. A great cat. I will miss her very much but am traveling too often to make it work. I have had her about four years. She likes a lot of people contact. She is mostly an indoor cat because she has no front claws but she loves to be outside on my deck. I made her unavailable on the site for a while because I had surgery .And needed her companionship As hard as it is to rehome her , here she is again looking for good loving people to be her guardians.

Story
FROM PREVIOUS RESCUE: Tiara was part of a 4 kitten litter who were surrendered because they were all extremely sick and the owner couldn’t afford vet fees.  It took quite a while and a lot of medicating and syringe feeding to get them healthy and growing. Tiara is a little shy with strangers, but once she knows she is safe, she is sweet and affectionate.   UPDATE: Tiara settled into her foster home in Evergreen fairly well. She is truly shy at first meeting, still uncertain. Now she is at the EAPL Adoption Center at Chow Down.  Any adopter needs to be patient as she makes another transition into a new home. But she has made huge strides and enjoys being pet .  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - after approval to adopt, you can arrange a meet and greet. November 5, 2024, 2:57 pm

Story
DO NOT CONTACT EAPL!! CONTACT OWNER DIRECTLY:  Nicki    nicki@jsimonson.com Daisy is an elderly (15 yrs), sweet gray tabby cat, who has her spurts of attention seeking meowing.  She spends most of her day snoozing on the couch or on the windowsill watching the birds outside.  She would be best in a quiet, unactive home, where she is the only pet.  She is ok with dogs but would prefer to not be bothered by them.  Her owner passed unexpectedly and other family members have cats that don't do well with others.   November 5, 2024, 2:57 pm

Story
Rescued by an EAPL volunteer, who took her in as a stray from the neighborhood.  It was much too cold these past weeks not to have a kind heart towards a sweet girl.  While still a bit shy, this beautiful black and gold tortoiseshell, is now settling into the EAPL Cat Adoption Center, at Chow Down in Bergan Park.  More than likely abandoned, Elsie is about 1.5 years, vetted and so ready for her own home.  Be sure to look for her when you next visit.  She's a very beautiful girl. Story
Simon was one of the sickest kittens I have ever seen.  He was found in a local backyard under a bush with a raging URI.  After a visit to a local vet, he not only didn’t improve, he got critically ill.  I rushed him to the emergency in COS and, honestly, was surprised he survived the trip.  He was in ICU for a few days and then sent home on an extended course of antibiotics .  He finally recovered but the infection caused scarring to his left eye, left ear and to his nasal passages.  As a result, he has limited vision in his left eye, limited hearing in his left ear and reduced breathing through his nose.  The nasal issue may improve as he grows older.  When he’s playing his breathing gets louder but a recent test to look for any nasal polyps was negative.  When he’s sleeping, he breathes through his mouth, and you don’t hear anything unusual.  Simon is a lovebug, active and playful. He’s not shy, will walk right up to a stranger and is good with dogs and cats. He is 4 months old, fully vetted and is bonded with Fawks.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com.  Once approved you'll be able to set up a meeting with all adoptable kittens. Story
Milo is all set and ready for his next adventure! He`s just looking for his next mischief buddy, and wondering if it could be you? With all this pep in his step, he doesn`t always know where to put his energy and so gets to work with our behavior team (and will continue working with his future family!) on learning safe and appropriate outlets. At this time, HSBV will only rehome Milo to a home without children or with children over the age of 10.
