Story
I rescued Bella when she was abandoned in my town at a building. She is most likely purebred but unsure, she was estimated to be about 1-4 years old when I rescued her and got her fixed. She is about 10-12 years old. She is such a snuggly lovable cat, all she wants to do is be on your lap sleeping with you all day. I am looking for a new home because she is not getting the love and attention she needs from me or my husband, we have a two year old and baby on the way and she deserves to be someone’s center of attention. She has some special needs I can discuss with a serious adopter she needs someone who can attend to her daily. She is great with our young toddler and children. She’s great with our elder dog but it took some adjusting. I’d feel strongly that she would do better as the only animal and no children because she deserves again to be center of attention.

Story
***I`m a Spirit Cat. Check out www.capeannanimalaid.org/spiritcats for more infoClarice here, I’m a nervous 10 month old girl who was found locally with my kittens. Thanks to the lovely folks who trapped us and brought us somewhere safe, my kittens have started finding families of their own. Now it’s my turn to find a warm home of my own where I can snuggle up and feel safe. My behavior shows that I was most likely born outside and have been living out there for the last 10 months with little contact with humans. Since we’ve arrived at the shelter, I have been very hesitant to trust the humans here and tend to run and hide when they clean my litter and give me food. I am looking for a quiet home with no children where I can hide out during the day and come out to eat at night when nobody is around. Due to me being in fight or flight mode since being born, I am still settling in here and will need to learn that humans are just trying to help me. I will need a family that understands I may never come around to wanting attention and will just enjoy having many beds to snuggle up in and food to eat at night. I am working on trusting my people and will need lots of time and patience to settle in and get used to my new environment. Story
Meet Sandford, a very handsome senior kitty here at CAAA. He came to us as a surrender when his owner was unable to keep him. He was very upset when he first came to us, but is handling the loss of his home and owner much better now. He’s looking to find someone who`d be willing to give him a nice warm forever home so he doesn’t have to experience this again. Sandford is a pretty chill guy overall, but there are a few quirks to him. He does not like to be picked up and can get overstimulated easily which might cause him to swat or nip. He seems to get a bit overwhelmed by the other cats here so he may do best in a home with no other feline friends. That being said, he does enjoy pets and loves to purr, but reading body language and respecting his boundaries is the key with Sandford. A cat experienced owner with a quieter household would be best for him. He also has an allergy to seafood that causes him to lose chunks of his fur if he consumes foods containing it but we’re able to easily manage this with the food he’s currently eating here. If you’re looking for a super chill companion who loves to nap and purr, submit an application today so that once you’re approved, you can meet him! Story
Meet Nelly and Ferdinand! These two cuties are ready to begin the best journey so far! What these two need most is patience and kindness. They`ve been through the ringer already and haven`t always had the best associations with people. We work hard here to create positive experiences with humans and we hope their new families will continue this work and guide them to feeling truly safe and loved. We also believe they each would do great with another confident kitty friend to help them along the way. If you have a quiet home, a kind heart and lots of love, one of these kiddos may be the match for you! If you`re interested, you can apply at capeannanimalaid.org/catapp
