Story
Emma is a 2 year old female calico. We’ve had her since she was a kitten and has always been around dogs (never lived with another cat). Unfortunately, as she got older, she has become more territorial and aggressive toward strangers in our home. For this reason, she will need to be in a home without children and will need a patient and loving owner who is willing to work with her during this transition. She is comfortable with us as her owners and will snuggle/purr and want to be pet. We hope we can find a new loving home that will provide the environment she needs to have a happy life.

Story
Meet Vinnie! Formerly known as Fusion, Vinnie arrived to THS through our cruelty department when his owner was no longer able to care for his cats. He is now looking for his furrever home with you!! Vinnie spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and his foster mom said, `it took him three days to warm up, but after that, he was roaming the house! He loves to be petted on his head and under his chin. He may not be a lap cat or one that likes to be picked up, but he does enjoy looking out the window, playing (especially at night), and will even sleep on the bed with you!` Vinnie got his name because his foster mom said, `he looks like a gangster to me!` She believes he would make an excellent companion and would be great for someone who would like a `one person cat`!!Stop by and meet Vinnie today!!

Story
Meet Chocolate Chip! Chocolate Chip arrived to THS as an injured stray. Now this sweet man is ready to find his furrever home with you!!Chocolate Chip is FIV+ which means feline immunodeficiency virus. FIV typically causes a weakening of the cat`s immune system. FIV positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration, they just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But, if they`re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets! Find more information at bestfriends.org! Chocolate Chip spent some time out in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and his foster mom said that he was a `good boy` who was mostly `calm and chill with an occasional playful side!!` He purred so much when he was getting pets and enjoyed being on laps! Not a huge fan of being picked up, he will tolerate it as long as he knows he gets to be on your lap! When left to his own devices, Mr. Chip could be found basking in the sun by a window or curled up in a cozy nook in the dark! He even buried himself under pet beds! He did not mind the dog in his home-as long as he could keep his distance-and did great with an 11-year old child! Easygoing, affectionate, and a lover of naps, snacks, and pets are how this friendly lad was described in his foster home! His favorite toy was a ball with a bell inside!!Want to hear the best news?? Chocolate Chip`s adoption fee is WAIVED for his new family!!Stop by and meet him today!!

Story
Meet Cheek, a truly independent lady who values her personal space. She prefers to keep to herself and doesn’t enjoy being touched, so she’s happiest when she can relax and unwind on her own terms. Cheek is not particularly interested in treats, but she finds joy in simply having quiet time to herself. If you’re looking for a calm and low-maintenance companion who enjoys her solitude and doesn’t need constant attention, Cheek could be the perfect fit for your home. She’s a great choice for someone who appreciates a more independent cat who likes to do her own thing.Cheek had some areas of hair loss upon arrival that turned out to be ringworm, and she is currently receiving treatment. Ringworm is actually not a worm at all, but instead it`s a fungal skin infection similar to athlete`s foot. She will need to be bathed twice weekly in a medicated solution until the infection has cleared. THS will provide the bathing solution for the remainder of treatment. Want to hear the best news? The adoption fee has been WAIVED for her new family! Ringworm can be contagious to people or other animals, but our adoption counselors will give you tips for housing, handling, and care to minimize the risk of spread to family members or other pets at home.
