Huntress is an extremely beautiful 11 month old girl. She is not aggressive, but is frightened easily. She loves the company of other cats and would make a great companion animal. Huntress would not make a good pet for a household with young children, as she is easily frightened. Huntress needs a calm environment, patience, and gentleness. With time and TLC, she will settle in and blossom. She will tolerate being petted but not held in your arms. Huntress will eat from your hand, “talk” to you and play with you. Please consider opening your home to this very deserving little soul, especially if you have a little patience and love to spare.

Renee was born in April and was brought in to Humane Ohio by a home owner who found her in his yard and was concerned for her safety around his dog. While she has taken a little time to acclimate and feel safe inside, she is loving her indoor lifestyle! Cat beds, toys, and a sunny window to squirrel watch are some of her favorite things! Renee would be a fantastic companion to another cat of any age, as she is equal parts gentle play and cat-cuddles. Renee is not quite a lap cat but we think she has the potential, as she has already shown us her cuddle talents by sneaking into bed at night with her foster parents. She is also very motivated by food and looks forward to her evening treats. Due to her earlier outdoor experience, she would probably do best in a calm, quieter home with no dogs or children.

Sarah came to her foster mom when she was 6-8 weeks old. Her right eye was badly infected and had ruptured, and needed to be removed. Sarah takes a little while to warm up to you, but she is loving and affectionate once she does. She loves to assist in feeding her mom’s foster pups and follows her from room to room. Even when Sarah still had her infected eye, she missed nothing. She has always been very active and curious. Nothing stops her. Sarah is fun to watch just being herself and is just plain goofy. She is also a talker and/or scolder. When approaching Sarah, she needs to be approached from her left side, her sighted side. She jumps if you surprise her and may run away briefly. Sarah is still a bit frightened by sudden movements and loud noises. Ideally, Sarah would be in a home with other animals as she has grown up with several cats and dogs and gets along well with them.
