Story
We're looking for a miracle for three cats, Freddie, Frannie, and Frank. They have not had an easy life. They were abandoned with one of our rescue partners. We don't know their backstory. We don't know if they were once loved and cherished family pets, or were neglected and then abandoned. What we do know is that they deserve to be loved, and to have a safe, forever home where they will not be left behind again. What makes this case especially difficult, is that these three are intensely bonded to one another. We do not want to split them up. We think they'd be broken-hearted if we separated them from one another, and these three have already had enough heartbreak. They are often found all cuddled up together for support. That means we are searching for a patient home that's willing to work with three shy, reserved cats and show them what love is. They are all beautiful and healthy, love treats and do allow some petting. They have come a long way since we first received them. We know this is a tall order, but we're hopeful that there is someone out there with a big heart and room in their home for these sweethearts, who with time and patience, will learn to trust and become valued members of a family, maybe for the first time in their lives. The three are available for foster to adopt to ensure that it is the right fit. If you are interested, please reach out to arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com for more information.

Story
Meet Ernie, an adult cat with a heart full of love. Shy at first, he soon blossoms into a playful and friendly companion, his gentle head butts a testament to his warm nature. Ernie is also an expert in feline diplomacy, getting along well with other cats. But his true passion? Bird watching. He enjoys his time in silent observation of our feathered friends. We think in a home environment with some love and patience, Ernie will flourish and become a loyal and loving companion. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Story
This beauty was transferred to ARF at the end of March 2024 from an overcrowded shelter facility. Caterina is shy at first, but after a few trusting moments she is "all in" for long and soft pets from her ears to the tip of her tail. She also enjoys cuddling. Her coat is soft like a rabbit's! Come spend some time with this adorable girl to see if she will be the one to become your newest family member. We think that because Caterina is not an "attention hog" while in her cage that visitors may incorrectly conclude that she does not crave the attention and affection that people have to offer. In truth, she does appreciate closeness with people. She simply needs someone to request to spend time with her in one of our visitation rooms. We encourage you to do so! Story
Hi Everyone, my name is Nicolette and I arrived in late April. Up until recently, I lived with my family in an apartment and everything was good. I loved my family and I thought we'd always be together. I saw them start to pack up things to move, but I wasn't too worried. I was sure that I was coming along too. Unfortunately, I wasn't. I was left behind in the apartment. I'm not sure how long I was there alone, but I was so glad to finally get help and come to this place called ARF. After all I've been through, I can be a bit shy, but with a little patience, I will warm up and be a great companion. I did live with another cat, so they think I could do well in a home with a feline companion. If you'd like to meet me and give me the forever home that I so deserve, please stop by during open hours. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Story
In March 2024, one year old Lulu arrived as a stray and spent some time in one of our loving foster homes. She adores being petted and showered with affection, and she's quick to return the love in kind. Now, Lulu is ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a friendly companion and lap cat, Lulu may be the one for you. Lulu is FIV+. But, do not let that worry you! FIV cannot be transmitted to people or to dogs. It is transmitted through deep bite wounds from another cat and it is typically transmitted between cats living outdoors, that are competing for limited resources. FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives. Our adoption consultants can discuss her diagnosis further with any potential adopters. Could you be the right fit to give this girl a much deserved opportunity to live a life off of the streets in a safe and loving home? If you would like to meet Lulu, please contact her consultant at arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com
