Story
Everest is the sweetest little girl! We have had her since she was about 12 weeks old. Loves our kiddos. Love to sit on your lap, be petted and held. Earlier this year we got a new dog and she is just not adjusting well to the situation. We have given it many months and just feel a dog free home will be much less stressful for Everest. She deserves a home that she can be happy in as she’s such a nice cat!

Story
Meet Ginger! This poor gal has had a tumultuous life - she came to TCR front declawed and with an ear tip. She was surrendered by her first owner, then returned by her second. The vet estimates her age to be around 8 years old. Ginger is a loving girl who wants nothing more than *just the right amount* of attention. She is talkative and expressive - she will let you know when she is lonely or craving attention and will have a whole conversation if you want. Ginger is a play hard nap hard kind of gal, so she will need you to run around with her a lot, then give her a nice spot to snooze in later. She shows her love by sleeping in bed next to you every night, and being a lap warmer in the colder months. She tends to get overstimulated when excited or stressed, so it's best to let her decide when to be petted! Unfortunately, she will sometimes swat or use her mouth to tell her people when she's had enough (probably because of the declawing.) We think that Ginger would do best in a home where her adopters are willing to be patient with her and provide affection, but not push her boundaries. Small children are not likely to be a good fit for her as they may not be able to pick up on the signs and signals of overstimulation in cats. Ginger would probably do well as the only kitty in the home, or with a more easygoing cat that likes to play. With a very careful introduction, she is currently living with another younger cat and doing well. A lot of her nibbling seems to be from wanting to play and not knowing how to express it, so having another cat has significantly reduced this. She is not currently being fostered with a dog, but briefly met one and seemed relatively unphased. She may be able to live with a calm pup, with proper introductions. Ginger is estimated to be about 8 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Do you have a loving, patient home for a sweet older cat that knows exactly what she wants? Please apply today!

Story
Michael has been in foster care for an entire year now! During this time, he has been reflecting and working on becoming the perfect cat for his new family. At 11 years old, Michael proves that you can teach an old *cat* new tricks. He came to us after his owner passed away. Originally an outdoor cat, Michael was brought inside a few years ago and much prefers indoor living! While he enjoys playing with toys and running around, his true loves are catnip and food. He also likes to lounge in a cozy cat bed and purr loudly, and now that he associates treats with humans, he enjoys following people around. Michael used to get easily overstimulated, but with patience and treats, he has learned to respect boundaries and walk away when needed. He has even started socializing with other friendly cats who respect his space. We believe Michael could make the perfect best friend for adults or a family with respectful, older kids! Michael is estimated to be about 11 years old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for Michael today!

Story
Meet Lemur! Long and lanky like a.... well... Lemur, this little lady is ready to find her home! Lemur came to TCR after we were contacted for help with a hoarding situation of over 70 cats. Although Lemur may be a little shy at first, once she warms up, she can't get enough of being petted! She loves to greet new friends and head butt you while rolling all over. Once she trusts you, she is easy to handle and is OK with being picked up. Since this little gal is used to living with lots of other kitties, we think that she would enjoy having another cat (or two?) in her forever home... so why not adopt her with one of her friends? Perhaps Skydancer - who she has been in foster with for quite some time? We think she would do just fine with older, respectful kiddos, and she may even be able to live with a calm dog, although she hasn't met one yet in foster. Lemur is estimated to be about 2.5 years old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply for this purry sweetheart today!

Story
Sky Dancer is ready to fly away to her forever home... could it be with you? Sky Dancer came to TCR after her she and her siblings were trapped outside. They were lucky enough to get the chance to go through Trash Cat Rescue to be adopted instead of being TNR'd and returned back outside. Sky Dancer is easy to pick up and handle, but she is nervous of new people and things, especially at first! Sky Dancer would do best with a patient family who can work with her and provide positive experiences to help her come out of her shell. Once she's comfortable with you, she enjoys being petted and will give butt raises and purr away. Sky Dancer would do best being adopted along with one of her foster friends (how about Lemur?), or into a home with another confident young resident cat that she can play with. She loves other kitties! Sky Dancer has not been around kids in her current foster home, so we think that small or very loud kids are likely to be a bit much for her, but older, cat-savvy kiddos would likely be OK. She will need a family willing to start her off in one small room while she adjusts to her new surroundings. She can also be easily bribed/rewarded with yummy treats! Sky Dancer is a little over a year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Do you have room for this sweet but shy little love? Please apply for Sky Dancer today!
