Story
Mandy will always be petite at 2 years old still small and sweet and super soft calico. She was found hiding in a closet in a house on Smith Hill in Providence with her boyfriend and 2 kittens. Those 3 cats have found homes with friends but sadly Mandy remains in foster. She is healthy- spayed and has had all her shots. She’s a hunter and loves to play laser lights and string toys. So soft and never bites so worth getting past time of shyness w people at first. She must not ever go outside since she will run away and you may never find her. Simply keep her in one room at first and slowly introduce her to your home. She Loves other cats! especially boys! We cannot keep her since we already have so many cats and she is afraid of our dog. Please consider taking her home.

Meet Smokey & Baby! What’s better than one black cat? Two black cats! Smokey and Baby are a sweet, shy pair who bring out the best in each other and are looking for a quiet home—together. These two are closely bonded and find comfort in one another, so they must be adopted as a pair. Both cats are on the reserved side and will need a patient home that understands the beauty of a slow blossoming friendship. Once they feel safe, their personalities start to shine, and you’ll get to witness the special connection they share. They have no known experience with children, but may do well with older, quiet, cat-savvy kids who can respect their space and help them settle in at their own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle duo who will reward your patience with companionship and quiet charm, Smokey and Baby might be the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an Adopter Profile form at www.parl.org/adopt and come by to visit during open adoption hours!

Story
Meet Chloe 💐 Chloe is a stunning calico beauty who’s currently feeling a bit shy and overwhelmed in the shelter environment. But don’t let that fool you—underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet cat just waiting to bloom in the right home. Chloe has experience living with other cats, but we think she may benefit from being the only feline for now so she can truly settle in and feel safe. With a little time, patience, and lots of love, we believe Chloe will begin to show her true colors and become a wonderful companion. She’s looking for a calm and understanding home, preferably with adults or older kids (teens and up), who will give her the space and time she needs to adjust. If you’re the kind of person who appreciates the quiet charm of a cat who just needs a chance, Chloe might be the perfect match for you. 💛 If you are interested in adopting, please complete an Adopter Profile form at www.parl.org/adopt and come by to visit during open adoption hours!

Story
Meet Disco – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Peaceful Place to Shine ✨🐾 Disco is a beautiful, shy girl who's still learning to feel safe in the world. Life in the shelter has been overwhelming for her, and she's having a hard time adjusting. While we don’t know much about her past, what we do know is that she’s looking for a soft landing—a quiet, predictable home where she can decompress and feel truly secure 🏡💗. Disco would thrive in an adult-only household with a calm atmosphere and consistent routines. She’s not a fan of loud noises or sudden changes, and she needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time ⏳💞. We haven’t seen her around other animals, so we’re not sure how she’d feel about a furry roommate. A calm, well-socialized cat companion might help her come out of her shell—with a slow, thoughtful introduction, of course 🐱🤝. Dogs, however, would likely be too much for her sensitive nature right now 🐶🚫. Disco isn’t the kind of cat who will be in your lap on day one—but with time, love, and a little space to just be herself, we believe she’ll blossom into a loyal and loving companion . Disco is a part of our special adoption program. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an Adopter Profile form at www.parl.org/adopt and email hmaclellan@parl.org to learn more!
