Story
~ COURTESY POST ~ I'm trying to find a new family for our 10 year old cat "Jade".   Despite my moderate allergy to cats, we got Jade from the CV Humane Society 7 years ago to ward off the mice in our newly purchased house in 2017.  My son (born after we got the cat) and I take allergy medicine everyday to combat our allergy to her.  With our move to TX next month we want to try living pet free in hopes that my son's allergy-induced asthma and my allergies subside and our general health improves.     Jade is a Manx with tabby coloring.  She's healthy and enjoys spending time indoors and outdoors.  Her temperament is dog-like.  She loves to cuddle and frequently lies on her back so that her chest/tummy will be rubbed.  She's never had a problem with kids and didn't retaliate to the abuse of my son as a toddler.  She is devoted and playful and desires to be your only pet.  She thrives on attention from people but does not tolerate the presence of other pets well.   Please contact me if you are interested and can provide a safe home where she can get daily human interaction.  She's a sweetheart and you'll fall in love with her.   Contact Tari at Txr11090@gmail.com OR 802-282-3154 with any inquiries.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 2:37 pm

Story
Where are all my tabby lovers??? Gus is just a big, tabby teddy bear. He is cuddly, curious, and ready to be your best bud! He follows you wherever you go. He was bumming food off passersby in a Publix parking lot for months before being rescued! Now, he never misses a meal and will remind you if you are even two minutes late with his dinner! He also loves to play with his toy mouse or anything he can chase. He fancies himself a master hunter. He is adept at opening cabinets and helping himself to any yum yums he can find. 😝 Gus is affectionate, easy-going, and would do well in just about any environment - including with other cats, kids, or dogs (if properly introduced). He is fostered in Huntsville, AL and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to make himself at home in YOUR home. If you think you have the perfect place for Gus, submit an application at https://forrescue.net/cat-application/. He has been waiting patiently to meet his people! Clover is 1-year-old and looking for a forever home together with her sister Flower. We will only adopt them out as a pair. These girls are so loving and affectionate. They purr whenever they are held. They are friendly with every new person and are very active and playful. They are looking for a home with a family who will spend lots of time with them. Clover is a brown tabby tiger with white legs and the cutest light brown muzzle. She loves to be carried around like a baby. Flower is a beautiful grey and white girl. Story
Poppy is a 10-year-old gentle girl who is friendly, playful and social. She likes to be with people, and also be on her own sometimes, explore her world, sit in high places and look out a window at birds and chipmunks. For a napping place she loves a cozy cave, such as a soft blanket in a box in a closet or a soft bed on top of a chair. Poppy is a social eater. She greets you purrfully at mealtimes and loves to be petted or brushed while she enjoys her chow. She is very good and proper at using her litter box. In her first home, Poppy didn't feel safe or wanted. There were rambunctious dogs, bullying cats, and people who didn't pay attention to her. Poppy would love to have several people to relate to, rather than being a companion to one or two. The perfect home for Poppy would be a spacious place with a cat-savvy family who like to dote on a kitty and play with her every day, who know to be gentle and encouraging, so that Poppy can feel safe and loved. Story
Aaron is a gorgeous 1-year-old boy who is very sweet and loving. He adores petting and attention and is eager to crawl onto your lap for a snuggle session. He initiates head butts, enjoys ear scratches and full body pets... really any and all attention satisfies him. Play sessions are a fun time. He is cooing and purring as his feather wand toy flies overhead. Aaron is very inquisitive and loves to investigate, running and climbing. A cat tower and window perches would be ideal for him in his new home.Being a young cat, Aaron is working a little bit on boundaries. He can be a little restive with being told he can't be in a certain area, so learning to redirect him with patience and play will be a must. At this time Aaron does not do well with other cats and we are unsure how he would be with dogs. Aaron will do best as the only cat in a home with a person or family who will adore him and keep him entertained. If you are interested in learning more about Aaron please contact Kingdom Animal Shelter for more information or come visit him during our Open Hours on Saturdays. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter.
