Story
Cats-the most effective, affordable and environmentally friendly pest control method! The barn cat, also known as a feral cat, is a domestic cat, usually of mixed breed, that lives primarily out-of-doors, in a feral or semi-feral condition on agricultural properties, usually sheltering in outbuildings.Individuals interested in adopting barn cats must be able to provide the cats with shelter, food, water, and vet care. Barns, outbuildings, factories, and warehouses are all considered suitable shelters for the cats. All barn cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated against rabies, and ear-tipped.If you are interested in adopting a barn cat please fill out the adoption questionnaire and a member of the adoption center team will contact you!*cats pictured are not available*

*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*The Yakima Humane Society provides care for thousands of animals each year, some of which require time in foster care before they are ready to be adopted. Fostering a homeless pet is both a rewarding and enriching experience; it is also great for families or individuals who love animals but cannot commit to having a full-time companion animal. The care that dedicated Foster Care Families provide is invaluable, both to the animals fostered and the people that adopt them. You can foster as much or as little as you like, and we need foster homes for a wide variety of animals - kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, and an occasional small & furry animal! You can learn more about our foster program and fill out an application athttp://www.yakimahumane.org/get-involved/foster/.*The pets pictured in this posting are just ad pictures not available pets.*

Story
Meet Magnolia, a two year old female Domestic Long Haired cat.Magnolia is a shy girl who was found as a stray. She isn`t too fond of the kennel environment and likes to hide in her box. She is one of those cats that will need time to open up in a home and will likely do better once out of the kennel environment. We recommend starting her in a bathroom which is smaller and will allow her to open up to you slowly without hiding somewhere you can`t reach her at. If you are looking for a quiet kitty that just needs some understanding, Magnolia is your girl. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT?That`s where you and the pet make sure you`re a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption. It`s a win-win for everyone! Just ask our front desk staff about how it works.Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.If you have any questions, please e-mail us at adoption@yakimahumane.org.

Story
Meet Phillip!Phillip is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old cat with a calm and quiet personality. While he’s a bit shy and takes some time to warm up, once he feels comfortable, Phillip will melt your heart with his soft purrs and affectionate nature. He enjoys peaceful moments and is happiest when lounging in a cozy spot, watching the world go by. Phillip may not be the most outgoing at first, but with a little patience and love, he’ll show you what a loyal and loving companion he can be. If you’re looking for a laid-back cat who will gradually become your best friend, Phillip is ready to find his forever home.

Story
Hello, Thank you for wanting more information on me.  I am still very new and my foster family is getting to know me, but they would be happy to answer any question you might have about me. If think you are the perfect family home for me, my friends would love to hear from you. Please contact them now at www.handsnpaws@outlook.com.  Each of our animals are microchipped, up to date on their vaccines, dewormed, and flea treated.  If it is age appropriate, they are spayed or neutered and given their rabies.  Unless it is otherwise noted in their medical history, our cats are not FELV/FIV tested.  This may be done at the request of an adopter and at their expense.  The adoption fee of each of our animals is listed underneath their pictures on their biography page.   Our animals are located in a foster home, our shelter or Petsmart in Downtown Bellevue. Our adoptions are done on a first come first service basis unless a hold is placed on the pet(s).  The hold is for up to 7 days and may be done when the Adoption Contract is submitted.  You may place a hold by paying the Hold Fee of $25 per pet.  The Hold Fee of $25 is Non-Refundable and will be in addition to the Adoption Fee.  You may instead pay the full Adoption Fee which will also hold the pet(s).  After 7 days, if the pet(s) have not been picked up, any fees paid will be forfeited and will be considered a donation to Hands 'N Paws Animal Assistance.  ##2157374##

Story
Marilyn is a lovely queen. She loves making biscuits and silently observing all activities.  She prefers to have a cat tree to judge you from. She is curious and will thrive in a relaxed setting. She and her two siblings were rescued after being abandoned in a rural area. She is completely litter box trained and ready for her forever home.   If think you are the perfect family home for me, my friends would love to hear from you.
