An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Reese, 5 months old, on 5/29/24, is a chocolate and tan, male chihuahua looking for his perfect forever home. His owner died and no one in the family wanted him. A good Samaritan stepped in and took him so that he would not have to go to the shelter. We were contacted and fortunately had a foster home for him. This social little guy loves everything and everybody. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and being kept on heartworm and flea & tick prevention to maintain his good health. He weighed 11 pounds on 8/15/2024. He is very smart and is learning how to walk on a leash. He seems to do ok riding in the car but does not like having to ride in a crate during the ride. He’d much prefer to sit with his person. Reese is located in Arkansas. His adoption donation is $250 with an additional $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Reese, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here.
