Story
Meet Lulu Rose! She is currently 6 months old, only 4 pounds, and we think she may be a Chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Lulu's video here: * coming soon * We're warning you in advance - Teeny tiny Lulu Rose is going to grab your heart and never let it go! We have been tempted to tuck her in our pocket and take off - that's how enchanting this graceful lady is! This 'lil nugget is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Lulu is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with several other dogs, including one large one that Lulu is absolutely convinced is her bestie! It is so entertaining to watch this little magnetic little 4 pound diva rule the house! Lulu is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
Just look at the ears on this sweet girl!! Soft to the touch and always on alert to hear her person calling her over for some snuggles ♥️ Meet Nelly Furrtado! Sweet Nelly is about 2 years old and we think she may be a Chihuahua/Dachschund mix, but with rescue it's always a guess! Watch Nelly's video here: If you're not already in love with Nelly's amazing ears, what are you waiting for? You just have to watch them rotate and assess her surroundings - and then they will stand up tall when she focuses in her attention. They rotate with her mood too - off to the side when relaxed, back when she's cautious, and - our favourite - one up and one off to the side when she's unsure. (She judges; she absolutely judges, lol.) We could write an entire novel on this adorable girl's ears (along with a chapter or two on her gorgeous markings, her short fast legs, freckled belly, and curling waggy tail too). But it's her loving and affectionate personality that will absolutely seal the deal. This tiny girl has big, big love, and she's ready to give it all to you! She adores ear scratches and belly rubs - and she will return all the attention you give her multiple times over with adoring looks, sweet snuggles, and gentle appreciative kisses. Nelly is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with lots of other dogs of all sizes, so she is very well socialized. Nelly Furrtado is looking for her special someone to snuggle, kiss, and adore - could that be you? Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67782adff29f2a01900093e7 Questions? Email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Morick is a sweet, tiny bundle of love! Despite being rescued from a hoarding situation with 85 other dogs, this little guy has quickly shown how trusting and affectionate he is. He has opened up in his foster home, following his foster mom around asking for pets, and settling in for cuddles. He absolutely loves people and would be thrilled to be your new lap dog! Morick gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with squeaky toys. He’ll even fetch them and bring them back to you! He’s curious about the world around him, but always comes running back for reassurance. Whether you’re doing housework or relaxing on the couch, he just wants to be by your side. He enjoys going outside, and a secure backyard would be ideal, though you’ll need to make sure he’s safe, given his small size. Morick is great about respecting boundaries and knows basic cues like “no” and “come.” He’s also a good boy when it comes to toys—he only plays with what he’s allowed to and doesn’t get into things he shouldn’t. While he does have a food habit from his past—taking a morsel and running off to eat it—this is common in dogs from pack situations and will improve as he learns he doesn’t have to share. It is easy enough to feed him in a place by himself so no one else can steal the rest of his food. Morick is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and microchipped. He’s ready to find a loving family who will shower him with affection and make him their loyal companion. Morick is estimated to be around 1 year old and is a Chihuahua mix, possibly with MinPin. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loving little dog to call your own, Morick could be the perfect fit! If you're interested in Morick, please fill out a pre-adoption application on https://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue You can see his Facebook bio and more photos here and you don't need an account to do so: https://www.facebook.com/share/15oFiab8ip/
